It's not only Dubai and Daytona that are staging races that go twice around the clock this January. This weekend, the indoor track in the Cologne suburb of Rodenkirchen will be hosting the '24 Hours of Cologne'. Lining up for the marathon event are a number of star names from the ADAC GT Masters.
The defending championship title holder - All Stars Team Urbat - includes reigning ADAC GT Masters champion Maximilian Götz, Christopher Mies and Christopher Brück. They are joined by three big names from the DTM: record championship winner Bernd Schneider, Timo Scheider and Christian Vietoris. These stars from the sports and touring car scene are supported by three top kart specialists Nikita Urgach, Thomas Schaller and Sebastian Kropp.
The opposition includes current Formel ADAC junior talent Jason Kremer, ex-Formel ADAC drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Sven Mueller, and former DTM and WTCC driver Peter Terting.
"The 24 Hours of Cologne is a great event that is always guaranteed to be lots of fun," says Maximilian Götz. "I've often competed in this race, and I've also won it a few times. I hope that our team is able to defend the title successfully."
