Mario Farnbacher (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), pole position, Race 1: "Everything worked well. I went out and got in a good lap straightaway. Now we're hoping for a spot of luck in the race. We are eighth in the standings but our deficit is not very large. With a decent result this weekend, we can still play a part in the title race."
Martin Ragginger (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), pole position, Race 2: "We knew that we would be very quick at the Lausitzring and have already proved it by posting best time in practice. This pole position is excellent for the title chances of my team-mate, Robert Renauer. He is ranked third in the drivers' standings and we are well placed this weekend with grid positions four and one."
Philip Frommenwiler (#6 Farnbacher, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position 11, Race 2: "It's amazing how tightly bunched the field is here this weekend. Although I was faster than Mario Farnbacher's pole time in the first qualifying session and just one tenth of a second slower than Nick Tandy, I'm only in eleventh place. Clearly, we must now build on that in Saturday's race, but I feel very good about things."
Christopher Haase (#26 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position eight, Race 2: "My qualifying was more spectacular than I would have wished. The car kept jumping out of gear on the first three laps and I was forever in neutral. I made several attempts at resetting and was successful, eventually, but the tyres had peaked by then. Nevertheless, grid position eight is quite decent and Rahel (Frey) also turned in a strong performance by securing eleventh place for Race 1."
Nick Tandy (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position four, Race 2: "I'm not entirely satisfied. It was not enough for pole today. The car did not have the speed, but I would have been very happy with second."
Markus Winkelhock (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 6, Race 2: "Sixth is okay today, as more would not have been possible. People always say after qualifying that things could have gone a little better in places, but really, more was not possible today."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), grid position 13, Race 2: "I'm generally satisfied, because you have to remember that we have a 20kg success ballast in the car after placing second at the Red Bull Ring . That makes a difference of two tenths per lap. If you subtract that from my lap time, then we would be in fifth place, which is where we belong. The gaps between cars are extremely small here - even smaller than at the Nürburgring."
Christian Hohenadel (#3 Callaway Competition, Corvette GT3 Z06.R), grid position 17, Race 2: "We made a bit of a miscalculation with setup. Andreas (Wirth) had major problems with it and I was forced to try and make the best of it as well. We will now run the same setup as Alessi and Keilwitz in the race."
Roland Rehfeld (#22 Team rhino's Leipert Motorsport, Lamborghini Gallardo FL2), grid position 23, Race 2): "We have a few problems with the car. There's extreme bouncing on the front axle. The car jolts quite badly on the straights and we cannot understand what's causing it. In addition, we're really down on top speed and that explains the deficit, which is very large, as you know. We now hope to get to the bottom of the problem before the race."
