Daniel Keilwitz (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner:
"I picked the perfect moment to step on the gas at the start of the race. I was a bit lucky, because the people at the front seemed to be slow off the mark. I had a completely clear run on the outside of the track, and I was quite surprised to find myself leading the field into the first corner. The temperature suited us far better today, and we had also made a few adjustments to the setup. The car was totally different to drive from the way it had been in qualifying. Last season, we went to Hockenheim as championship leaders and missed out on the title in the final race. I hope that we can do better this time round."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner:
"My thanks must go to Daniel, since we wouldn't have won today without his great start. We went into the race with an aggressive strategy, as I didn't rate our chances better than P5 or P6. We weren't expecting to have such good speed in the race; that came as quite a surprise. In the last ten minutes of the race, I was having some problems with grip on the rear tyres, but that's quite normal at that stage. It's looking quite good for us at the moment, but that was also the case last year. I think that we will have a fight on our hands at Hockenheim."
Christopher Mies (#27 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P2:
"We couldn't get the car to start again at the pit stop. That cost me six seconds, which could have given us the race win. Yesterday, we were having problems with our ABS and ASR; today, the car wouldn't start. Very annoying."
Maximilian Buhk (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P3:
"I took a gamble at the start which paid off. I certainly wasn't expecting the Corvette to come up so fast on the left. If the Corvette carries on producing performances like that at Hockenheim, they're going to be difficult to beat."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P3:
"Maxi (Buhk) got away to a brilliant start, but we couldn't hold back the Corvette today. We took the decision to pit early, and I was somewhat surprised that René Rast was in front of me after his pit stop. The pair in the lead drew away a bit, but I was able to maintain my lead on the BMW to my rear. I'm really looking forward to Hockenheim, and hope to have a fair battle there and a brilliant finale."
Max Sandritter (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), 4th:
"The race was very tough. It was slippery out there and I had to fight extremely hard so as not to lose contact with the Mercedes in front of me. The Audis behind me were very strong and were piling on the pressure. I made a mistake in yesterday's race. It was a very tough weekend for us. I hope that we can finish with a podium at the finale in Hockenheim to round off the season."
Robert Renauer (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P7:
"Our weekend went well. We finished seventh after having started from P15. Obviously, we took advantage of the mistakes made by our opponents in the race."
Mike Parisy (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P18:
"A good race was ruined for us when we got a drive-through penalty. I was obviously a bit too quick at the start of the race whilst travelling through a sector that was under the yellow flag. The car was oversteering massively towards the end of my stint and was very difficult to drive. I then had another scrap with Buhk, but didn't want to take any risks, since I'm only guesting in the series and don't want to get in the way of title contenders."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner in the Gentlemen category:
"Our car wasn't particularly easy to drive today in the race, but we drove at our own speed and, in contrast to the competition, we didn't make any mistakes, didn't receive any penalties, and that's how we won the class."
Kuba Giermaziak (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P12:
"Things were hectic, even at the start, and you had to be really careful. I just tried to keep the same pace. It wasn't easy, but we were quick. I prefer that to having a car that's easy to drive but slow. Christina now heads the Gentlemen classification, so we'll have a smile on our faces when we travel Hockenheim."
