Martin Ragginger (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner: "That was a tough race - the Ford and the BMW were both very fast. There was no room for any mistakes today; Robert and I drove an error-free race, and that's the reason we got this result. Our lap times were consistent throughout, but the others also had good pace; that's why it was so evenly matched at the front. I'm delighted for the whole team because this is a victory we really deserve. We've worked hard and have been consistent all season; the only thing missing was this race win."
Robert Renauer (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner: "After each of the two safety car periods, I concentrated on accelerating smoothly out of the final turn. During the safety car periods, I was getting aerodynamic pick-up on the front axle and there was a lot of vibration coming through from the wheels. But I think the BMW was having exactly the same problem. I just focused on wrapping up the race win, and that seems to have worked well."
Dominik Baumann (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), second: "My start was OK, but the others were a bit faster off the mark. I drove the car to the limit, and I don't think we could have done any better. I drove my own race and just tried to keep the gap as small as possible. That was a super race for us; those two second places have brought in a decent points haul."
Christer Jöns (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), third: "That was a good race; it's great to get our second podium of the season. The first of the two safety car periods helped us, but the second one wasn't so favourable, because one of the Mercedes-Benz got quite close to me after the restart. The situation was too close for comfort, and it almost cost us our podium finish. Fortunately, things turned out well in the end, because it then became apparent that our straight-line speed was considerably better than the Mercedes. Yesterday we messed up our lead , so it's a good feeling to get this podium today."
Markus Winkelhock (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), third: "The race was very good from our perspective. I was able to keep up with the leaders, although we didn't have enough to mount an attack. It's wonderful to be up there on the podium, and I hope we manage a few more appearances there in the remaining races."
Maximilian Buhk (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), fourth: "The safety car deployments helped us to improve our position in the closing stages of the race. But at the same time, it was also a handicap because my tyres were degrading fast towards the end. Apart from that, our car was better today than on Saturday, and we were able to maintain a decent pace."
Daniel Keilwitz (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), fifth: "My start wasn't all that good; I was unable to make good as many places as I had hoped. It was difficult to match the cars in front of me for speed, so I decided to look after the tyres for Diego [Alessi]. The safety car period then propelled us up to fifth. Since we have finished the weekend at the top of the championship table, we can't really complain."
René Rast (#27 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), sixth: "We started from P16 on the grid and finished in sixth place; I think we can feel well satisfied with this result. Things weren't looking too good after the pit stop, so we actually got the maximum that we could out of this race and salvaged a few points. In general, though, we have slipped back this weekend. But there are still four races to go, and things might happen to our rivals in the meantime. In any case, we're not giving up."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing-Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner in Gentlemen class: "That was great race. In the closing stages, I had an enjoyable scrap with Diego Alessi; I thought that it would do no harm to put another car between myself and Rene Bourdeaux. But all the time we were battling it out, I was focusing on winning in my class, so I wasn't prepared to risk too much. The safety car deployment didn't help my cause, because it cancelled out the gap I had established. Nick Tandy laid the foundations, the team put in a superb effort, and our pit stop went very smoothly. We feel that today was our day."
Nick Tandy (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), ninth: "On the opening lap, I had a thrilling duel with Parisy and Baumann. There were five or six cars at the front that were a match for each other in terms of speed, so battling it out with them was great fun. Today, everything came together just perfectly."
René Bourdeaux (#9 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), runner-up in Gentlemen class: "The safety car periods enabled me to close the gap on Christina towards the end of the race. I was slow off the mark on the first restart, but I was much more alert the second time around. But then some faster cars came from behind and got between us. I had to battle my way through to catch up with Christina . On the last few laps, she didn't make any mistakes, and I wasn't prepared to take any risks."
Alfred Renauer (#9 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), tenth: "A great day for our team. I worked my way up the field and the race turned out just as we had expected. It's the first time this year that we have finished in the points."
