Dominik Baumann (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), winner: "Our car today was completely different to the car we were driving yesterday. The team did a great job on the setup, and Claudia put in an excellent second stint. We thought Claudia would be able to overtake Toni (Seiler), and that's exactly what she did. There were a lot of yellow flags at the start of the race, though, and it was quite tricky to be sure of how fast I was allowed to go. I couldn't keep up with the Corvette anyway - it was simply too quick for us on the first few laps."
Claudia Hürtgen (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), winner: "It was fantastic to win today after a rather tricky start to the weekend - I was very unhappy with our car's performance on Friday. In today's race, I pushed hard until I was out in front and enjoyed every lap from then on. The car was set up perfectly for the race; the team couldn't have done any more to make it better. It's really saying something when I have nothing to complain about! The team did a great job and I'm glad we ended the weekend on such a high note. A first and third-place finish shows that all our hard work here at Schubert over the past few weeks has really paid off."
Jeroen Bleekemolen (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P2: "The start was good, but we had a bit of bad luck with the safety car. Because of this, I wasn't able to build up such a big lead and we re-emerged from the pit stop in the middle of traffic. That was a real shame, since we would have had a better chance of victory if the safety car hadn't been deployed. Toni (Seiler) put in a superb performance against some of the best GT drivers in the world."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P2 and winner of the Gentlemen class: "I am very happy with the race. Diego (Alessi) came up behind me twice, but I was able to pull clear of him both times. Whenever he was close to me, I had to pull out all the stops and stay calm."
Jörg Müller (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), P3: "I am very happy with my first podium in the ADAC GT Masters. I hadn't sat in a racing car for ten weeks, and I'm delighted everything worked out so well. I can still feel a bit of pressure on my ribs, but I was having fun straightaway. We had a good setup for the car this weekend, even though the sprint circuit at the Nürburgring is not ideal for the BMW."
Max Sandritter (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), P3: "I'm really happy that Jörg Müller is back. In the closing stages, there was a three-way battle playing out in front of me; I was able to benefit from this and move into third place. I was then a little worried during the last three laps, since I had pushed so hard that my tyres were overheating. The car was sliding around quite a bit."
Lennart Marioneck (#17 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P14: "I had an interesting first few laps, to say the least. I made contact with an Audi and then had to avoid a collision with two more Audis. That cost a lot of time. Then I skidded on the coolant that had spilled at the Querspange intersection and lost a few positions. Remo Lips also drove well today. We finished in P14 and can be happy with that. That was our best weekend of the season so far."
Sean Edwards (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P12: "It was very hard to keep the Corvette behind me at the start. I gave it everything I'd got in this race but couldn't quite keep up with the BMW in front of me. Although our car was very good, it wasn't the quickest. Christina drove an excellent race and is now top of the Gentlemen classification."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P12:"I had a lot of understeer on the fast and medium-fast corners. We had no chance against the Corvettes this weekend."
Remo Lips (#17 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P14: "It was a good weekend. We battled away well and had a lot of luck. I would've liked to have overtaken Christina Nielsen, but she was too far ahead of me."
Frank Kechele (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), P6: "The car was good, but you can't get past a Corvette if the driver doesn't make any mistakes. On the penultimate lap, I tried to overtake Alessi in the Corvette and got alongside him. However, I didn't have enough grip and spun. Although that didn't work out, we still managed to move up from P16 on the grid to sixth. Our title hopes are now gone, but we still have to keep on fighting for places on the podium. The chance was there, but unfortunately it didn't work out."
Christopher Haase (#26 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), DNF: "I hit the coolant on the track and slid into some other cars in the run-off zone. This is what damaged my door. The car was in a bad condition, the door was broken and the engine temperature was too high. There was no point in carrying on racing."
Christer Jöns (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P9: "Markus (Winkelhock) got off to a great start, but apart from that, our race today was nothing to write home about. We had a good pit stop. That plus the fact that some of our opponents made a few errors helped us to move up the field. A couple of points in the bag are better than nothing at all. I don't think we could have finished higher than ninth today."
Daniel Brown (#46 Vita4One, BMW Z4 GT3), DNF: "My first ADAC GT Masters weekend wasn't all that bad, even though we were quite unlucky. The standard of competition in this series is very high. Our results were frustrating. We had our problems in qualifying, but we made some changes for today and the car was really fast. We had bad luck in the race, though. First I skidded on the coolant that had spilled from another car and then we developed engine problems."
