Frank Kechele (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), winner: "After the last race at the Slovakia Ring, we discussed the start again with the race director and reached a good solution as regards the start procedure that worked out well in the race. The start went brilliantly well. Yes, of course, there was the accident with the Corvette, but that had nothing to do with the start procedure. After racing was interrupted, I got away well on the restart and pushed hard. We had an excellent set of tyres, and I used them to extend my lead, so that in the end we had a stress free race. We then brought forward our pit stop to avoid some stragglers, which worked very well."
Dominik Schwager (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), winner: "It was relatively easy for me in the second half of the race thanks to the decent lead that Frank built up during the start period. Controlling the lead was quite tricky, though, because I kept coming across stragglers. Anything can happen on the final few laps. I'm enormously pleased about the win for the whole team. The most important thing today, however, was that the accidents at the start were relatively minor."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3): "The Ford was simply too fast for us today, and left me behind on the first couple of laps. I wanted to try to go round him on the outside at the start, but Frank was fairly on the ball. It's certainly going to be difficult in the race tomorrow, but we've taken points out of the leaders today and yes, I've got big hopes of winning the title."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner Gentlemen Class: "We won the title today, so it was, of course, a good race. I was incredibly nervous ahead of today's race and I'm pleased to have done it today. Tomorrow we can now be a bit more relaxed about the final race."
Robert Renauer (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), third: "Actually, positions in the race were taken relatively quickly. I was able to match the pace of the Ford and the Mercedes in the lead and had no competing cars to my rear. Under normal circumstances, the battle for the title is out of my hands, but anything can happen in the final push tomorrow."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT), fifth"We were very conservative in today's race. I moved up two places at the start, and then the race was interrupted. Naturally, on the restart behind the safety car, you cannot gain position. I drove quickly, but was very careful. Ultimately, I was rewarded with P5. Tomorrow, the title decision will be incredibly close."
Daniel Keilwitz (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3); fifth: "I had to push mightily today and do everything I could. We finished fifth after starting from P10 on the grid. Out on track though, we only overtook two opponents but gained from the bad luck of others."
Kuba Giermaziak (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), 13th: "I had a very interesting scrap with two Corvettes. Marioneck was directly in front of me but made a mistake, giving me the lead in the Gentlemen class. Towards the end, though, Jeroen (Bleekemolen) was all over me. He even got by me briefly on the final lap, but I defended my position and secured the win."
Mario Farnbacher (#6 Farnbacher Racing-Porsche 911 GT3 R), 11th: "Unfortunately, we got a penalty after making a pit stop that was too short, and that completely ruined our race. We would definitely have finished fourth today but for the penalty."
Christian Hohenadel (#3 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), 10th: "My stint in the race wasn't particularly spectacular. No one attacked me and I didn't attack anyone as the gaps were too large."
Michael Christensen (#4 Team Geyer & Weinig, Porsche 911 GT3 R), DNF: "This hasn't been our weekend so far. Yesterday we had a defective shock absorber and didn't realise until quite late on, and then in today's race, we suffered clutch damage."
