Frank Kechele (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), race winner: "A perfect finish to a variable season. We've had our ups and downs this year, and we certainly had to work a lot harder for today's win than for yesterday's. Dominik built up a comfortable lead on the first few laps. We weren't the fastest today, but we were the most consistent."
Dominik Schwager (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), race winner: "I felt on the first few laps that weren't able to attack to the same extent as yesterday, but then I found that we were able to exert more pressure after all. The Mercedes driver ahead of me made a couple of mistakes, and then I noticed that he was having some problems. I feel sorry for Buhk and Götz, but we all experience situations like that from time to time; it's happened to me often enough. To have posted back-to-back wins on the final weekend is simply amazing. It was a nice way to round off what has otherwise been a rather mediocre season."
Daniel Keilwitz (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), 2013 ADAC GT Masters champion: "After getting spun round on the first corner, I almost gave up there and then, but I couldn't believe that we were going to let our title chances slip away in such a fashion, and I went back on the offensive. I had good race pace, and the other drivers were very fair, not trying to block me on my pursuit. It was high time that we won this title. There's no way I could have let us lose it once again in the very last race."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), ADAC GT Masters 2013 champion: "I'm absolutely speechless, and I can't believe what just happened. I've seen a lot of things in my career as a driver, so when I saw Daniel spun around on the first lap, I was resigned to losing and convinced that, once again, it wasn't to be our year. But the motor racing deities seem to have had a change of heart. After Daniel embarked on that amazing pursuit, my hopes were restored. Then, after that stroke of bad luck for the Mercedes-Benz, we were able ease up a little."
Markus Winkelhock (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P3: "I was able to make good a few places at the start of the race, and then I held on to my position. We lost one place as a result of the pit stop, but Christer (Jöns) put in a good burst of speed towards the end and moved up to third. After the disappointment of Saturday, P3 today and winning the team championship is a good way to finish the season."
Christer Jöns (#28 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P3: "We had a weekend of extremes at Hockenheim. Our bad luck was all gone today and we had some good fortune for a change. What a great way to end the season: the two cars that our team fielded on the grid today achieved podiums."
René Rast (#27 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P2: "I had a fairly quiet second half of the race. The only exciting manoeuvre was the scrap for second place with Toni Seiler. We are very happy with second place. The Ford was unbeatable, so we achieved the maximum in securing P2."
Maximilian Buhk (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3): "An alarm went off in the car, the engine was running hot. I then initiated an emergency programme, but things didn't get any better and eventually, that was it."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner in Gentlemen classification: "Our pace was very good today in the race and the car drove consistently well to the end. I was able to really enjoy today's race, having already secured the title. We gained points in the general standings for the second time today, which is once again a nice bonus and a perfect way to end a great season."
René Bourdeaux (#9 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), second in Gentlemen classification: "It was just not our weekend here, but the last race was a lot of fun anyway. I had a spin, which was not really necessary, but all in all, I had a good race. I'll settle for finishing second today and clinching the runner-up spot in the Gentlemen category."
Lennart Marioneck (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3: "I was involved in a couple of minor bumps just after the start, which demoted me to last but one in the field. Then I made an error going into the hairpin, braked too late and collided with another car. It's an annoying sort of mistake to have made, and I deserved the subsequent drive-through penalty. After that, of course, we didn't have a chance in the race."
Remo Lips (#17 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), third in Gentlemen classification: "In the second half of the race, we couldn't get into fifth gear. I was more or less cruising round and just trying to score a couple of points at the most."
