Best time in first test session set by Polarweiss : Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG prepared by Polarweiss Racing fastest car on track

The 2013 ADAC GT Masters is off the starters´ blocks: On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the Super Sports Car League contestants are warming up for the new season at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The teams have brought along more than twenty supercars to the official pre-season sessions to test them under track conditions, with particular attention being paid to the latest generation of tyres supplied by ADAC GT Masters exclusive partner YOKOHAMA.

The morning session was fairly cool with occasional drizzle. Polarweiss Racing set the pace with their Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, posting a fastest lap of 01:29.161 minutes. Second-fastest in the four-hour session were the 2012 championship runners-up Diego Alessi and Daniel Keilwitz in their Callaway Competition Corvette Z06.R GT3. The third slot on the timesheet was claimed by the Dutch duo of Jeroen den Boer and Simon Knap (DB Motorsport) in their BMW Z4 GT3.

The Tuesday afternoon session runs from 2pm to 6pm. Wednesday offers an identical programme.

The etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is open to fans on both days. Admission at the gate costs €5.00.
