Florian Stoll (#1 MS RACING, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 14 for Race 1: "We have fallen somewhat short of our expectations. But we´re not far off the lap times of the other Audis. They will be our benchmark this weekend, because the R8 is still a very new experience for us. Rain has been forecast for Saturday, and that should suit the Audis. If we manage to finish in the Top Ten, we´ll be well satisfied."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position 19 for Race 1:"I think I might have been trying too hard, because I lost the rear end and ruined my tyres. We´ve been getting vibration at the back of the car since this morning, and we still haven´t worked out what´s causing it."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position 9 for Race 1:"Ninth on the grid isn´t all that bad for an oldster like me. We had a problem with the electronics in Q1, which meant I didn´t get out on track until six minutes from the end. Then I probably pushed too hard. I tried to force a hot lap out of the tyres and wrecked them. But if it rains tomorrow, that will be neither here nor there."
Christian Engelhart (#4 Team Geyer & Weinig / Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position 2 for Race 1: "My compliments to the team! Our car still wasn´t optimum this morning, but the team worked hard to present us with a magnificent vehicle for this afternoon´s qualifying. I got held up on my fastest lap, otherwise I would have been in contention for pole."
Nicolas Armindo (#4 Team Geyer & Weinig / Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position 14 for Race 1:"I was putting in a perfect flying lap when the yellow flags came out, so I had to come off the accelerator. That was really annoying, because I was on a lap that would have put me right at the front of the grid."
Gabriele Gardel (#23 Fischer Racing, Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3), grid position 20, Race 2:"That was not an easy day for us, and our grid position certainly fails to reflect what we and the car are capable of. We´re newcomers to this series and have quite a bit to learn about it. I made one error on my flying lap, otherwise we certainly wouldn´t have been far off the Top Ten."
Christer Jöns (#28 Prosperia C. Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 8, Race 1:"P8 is OK, but after qualifying for the first row in the last couple of seasons, I had set my expectations a little higher. As for the race itself, this certainly isn´t a bad position to be starting from."
Markus Winkelhock (#26 Prosperia C. Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 13 for Race 2:"P13 isn´t exactly what I was hoping for here. But we had some oversteer on the car, and I was unable to match the time posted by my team mate Christian Mamerow who qualified third. We need to make some changes to the car for the race."
Philip Frommenwiler (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position 3 for Race 2:"I think that P3 in my first ever ADAC GT Masters qualifying is quite respectable. I´m sure we can get more out of the car, but we have a good grid position. In fact, it may even be better than P2, because it means we start on the inside, which is advantageous on the first corner where there is always plenty of aggro."
