Daniel Keilwitz: (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner: "Fortunately, I got off to a great start. Then I was involved in a real battle with Maximilian Götz - all perfectly fair racing - but I had to work hard. He was consistently strong on the brakes and I was having to concentrate on exploiting the strengths of the Corvette. The drive-through penalty incurred by Götz and Buhk in their Mercedes was not particularly good from a racing perspective, but it certainly helped our cause. It made things easier for us, and Diego was able to bring the car safely home."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner: "Daniel clearly had the more difficult job of us two today. The team supplied us with a perfect car; it was so easy to drive. When I took over in the Corvette from Daniel, we were seven seconds ahead of the BMW, which gave me a very comfortable cushion and meant that I could control the race right through to the end."
Jeroen den Boer (#12 DB Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), runner-up: "I moved up into third place right at the start of the race, and after that, it was simply a matter of holding position and staying focused. Although I didn't make any further progress forward, I at least increased the gap on the cars behind."
Philipp Frommenwiler (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P3: "We were the fastest Porsche team this weekend, so that's definitely cause for satisfaction. Mario got off to a great start, which meant that the job was half done. Following the pit stop, I had to push hard to hold on to third position, but after that, none of the pursuing group represented any sort of danger."
Mario Farnbacher (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P3: "I moved four places up the field at the start of the race, and that's probably the main reason we got onto the podium today. But after that, things got a bit harder. I wasn't able to stay in touch with the leaders, so I decided to conserve my tyres. At the end of this first weekend, we find ourselves topping the table. We just can't wait for the next race at Spa."
Simon Knap (#12 DB Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), P2: "After the pit stop, I managed to whittle away at the gap to the Corvette. Then I got stuck in some traffic and couldn't get within striking distance any more. But second place is a decent result at this early stage of the season."
René Bourdeaux: (#9 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "After all the rain yesterday and going out of the race so early, I was feeling quite down. By contrast, today went perfectly and it turned out to be a great race."
Christina Nielsen (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P2 in 'Gentlemen' class: "My car was faster than René Bourdeaux's, but unfortunately only on those sections of the track where it's impossible to overtake. I was always closing in on the Triple, but never at any point where I could have gone past.
Christian Engelhart (#4 Team Geyer & Weinig EDV-Unternehmensberatung / Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), DNF: "I had a front puncture; it came right out of the blue. I'm assuming that we drove over a fragment of wreckage, because it's highly unusual to sustain a puncture at the front. I've never experienced this before in my whole career."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P19: "We had a few problems in the race with our electrical system. Niclas did a great job on the first lap, but unfortunately, I was unable to attack the two Porsches ahead of me in the closing stage of the race."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3), P9: "Unfortunately, we made far too little of our opportunities this weekend. We were certainly in a position to have won today's race. We'll have to perform an analysis of why our pit stop was too short."
Rahel Frey (#26 Prosperia C. Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P11: "We were certainly hoping for a better outcome to the weekend. The rain on Saturday helped all the Audis. It was tougher today on a dry track, because we were lacking straight line speed. Yesterday, our team finished with all three cars in the Top Ten. Today wasn't quite as successful. But hey, that's motor racing. I've been given a great reception here and have an excellent team-mate in Markus. My intuition tells me this is going to be a good year."
