Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): "Third and sixth in the two practice sessions are OK. The car is running well, I think a place among the top three in qualifying and in the race itself are a possibility."
Sebastian Asch (#1 MS RACING, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "I had a little slide into the gravel bed. Unfortunately, I couldn't be pulled out, and the car arrived at the paddock on the back of the tow truck. Consequently, we could not continue with practice and lost half an hour´s track time."
Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "The Corvette runs a bit weird on fresh tyres, and I don't really know how to treat a new set during the initial laps. But we have already found a good solution for the race over the distance that will consistently give us good performance."
Christina Hohenadel (#3 Callaway Competition, Corvette GT3 Z06.R): "So far, it looks like we've taken a step forward. We are well up among the front-runners with all the cars, as you saw in practice. At any rate, I hope that will again be the case in qualifying."
Christian Engelhart (#4 Team Geyer & Weinig EDV, Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "We have not yet driven on a quali set-up, so we are naturally very pleased with the times. Tyres will be a hot topic in these temperatures! I think that with this heat, the tyres will only give us one chance of posting a hot lap in qualifying."
Claudia Hürtgen (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3): "We are doing well and are very satisfied so far. However, we don´t expect to achieve a position on the front two rows here in qualifying, so we´ve focused exclusively on race setup during practice."
Andreas Simonsen (#11 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): "I'm still not completely satisfied. I actually like the Nürburgring a lot, but both track and car feel a little bit odd today. Plus, we had some air in the brakes and had quite a long pedal travel. I hope things will be better in qualifying."
Mario Farnbacher (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "We were doing well in first practice but were suddenly struggling in the second session. The car had a lot of understeer, but we chose not to run a new set of tyres in practice."
Daniel Dobitsch (#100 MS RACING, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "We are very satisfied so far. Only, I have to find a better line through the NGK chicane. I´m losing too much time there. We had a small problem with the steering that subsequently cost us some time."
Jörg Müller (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3): "I decided last weekend not to compete in the 24 Hours of Spa so that I could be back in the line-up here. I´m still not completely free of pain after my accident at Spa in May, but I don´t foresee any problems in these two races."
René Bourdeaux (#9 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3): "I´m glad that we´re finally back racing after the long summer break. We were very pleased with the practice sessions. So far, things are going very well for us."
