Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), Pole Position, Race 1: "I really like the Nurburgring. I was on pole here last year. The temperature of the asphalt dropped during practice. I carefully kept an eye on the thermometer, since every degree makes a huge difference and I went back out on track at exactly the right moment. On my second attempt, I then went through the Schumacher S in a different gear and so was even quicker. I also got on really well with the fresh set of tyres. We are well prepared for the race too as far as tyres go."
Jeroen Bleekemolen (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), Pole Position, Race 2: "It´s my first time out in the GT3 Corvette. I´ve driven GT1, GT2 and GT4 Corvettes before, but never the GT3 version. The car was fast even in practice and suits the track here really well. I think we are well placed for the race, since my team-mate Toni Seiler was fast today too."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), grid position 11, Race 2: "The car feels great and sits really well too, but we didn´t achieve good times in qualifying and we´re still puzzling over the reasons for that."
René Rast (#27 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 14, Race 2: "The car feels good to drive. I don´t know what more we could do. We´re massively down on top speed as compared to the competition, and it´s the top speed that really counts here. We are very disappointed."
Christopher Haase (#26 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), grid position 13, Race 2: "It was simply not possible to do better than 13th today. The team gave us a good car and we made the best of it. We lack top speed and torque, which makes for a bad combination."
Dominik Baumann (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3): grid position 2, Race 2: "I´m very pleased with my start position because I pulled the lap together in the last few seconds. I came out very late and then, as I was going through the crossover section, ran over a part belonging to a Corvette that got stuck in the splitter. I had to remove the bit of Corvette in the pits, after which the splitter had a hole as big as your fist, and I had only three minutes for a hot lap. I drove absolutely on the limit on that lap and everything went well."
Dominik Schwager (#14 Lambda Performance, Ford GT), grid position 16, Race 2: "We had a problem similar to the one at the Sachsenring. We were doing well with the car in practice, but in qualifying, when all the other drivers were half a second up, we were still no quicker than in practice. Why we did not do better in the quali is still a mystery to us."
