Diego Alessi (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner: "Today´s race was by no means easy for us, and the only reason we won was our excellent straight-line speed. We experienced real difficulty on some of the corners here, and if I´d made just the tiniest of errors, I´m sure that I wouldn´t have held on to the lead. The car was pretty consistent right through to the end, although I did have some problems with the ABS which made the braking a bit unpredictable. But we also had the same thing in yesterday´s race, so I was soon able to adjust. I´m so happy that I just don´t know what else to say."
Daniel Keilwitz (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner: "I had to concentrate really hard on exiting the corners, because that´s where our main strength lies. The Mercedes was much better than us on the braking. Even so, I tried to conserve the brakes and the tyres for Diego. It´s fantastic to secure back-to-back wins."
Maximilian Buhk (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG), second: "Second place is great; our race went really well. I was faster than the Corvette, but I didn´t want to attack, because the gap to the next car was big enough. Our car was very good today; we made a few changes over night. All in all, this has been a successful weekend for us, as we´re now leading the championship standings."
Maximilian Götz (#10 Polarweiss Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), second: "Max (Buhk) put in an excellent first stint, but our pit stop was deliberately on the conservative side. We weren´t inclined to take any risks today, as we knew that we were in line for a podium finish. I did everything I could to get past the Corvette, but it was simply too fast for us on the straights. I was getting close every time on the second and third sectors, but then Alessi would simply pull away again. We´re now leading the championship. Our objective was to finish on the podium, and we´ve accomplished that."
Jeroen den Boer (#12 DB Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), third: "Our start was OK, but we simply don´t have enough power, which meant that we were immediately overtaken by a couple of cars. But I managed to stay in touch, and when the Porsche ahead of me pulled into the pits, I kept pushing hard, and that took us up into third after the mandatory stop."
Simon Knap (#12 DB Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), third: "It got extremely tight towards the end, because as I closed in on the Mercedes, I had the Ford GT breathing down my neck. I´m very happy with third."
Rahel Frey (#26 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P10: "We started from 22nd on the grid and still ended up collecting a point for finishing tenth. Not a bad performance, I would say. We had a really good pit stop, but the car was moving around the track too much during the race with oversteer and understeer, so it wasn´t always easy to drive. That was probably caused by our tyre pressure: it´s by no means easy to find the ideal operating window."
Alfred Renauer (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P11: "We had a very good race. I lost connection with the front-runners when the yellow flags came out early in the race because I didn´t want to take any risks and I cut back on the throttle. Once the train has gone, you´ve missed it."
Mike Parisy (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P14: "My race today was very good apart from the fact that I got penalised for going too fast in a sector where the yellow flags were out. I feel that I´m really getting to grips with the Corvette now, but I could still do with a few more kilometres´ practice to increase my speed."
Bernhard Auinger (#43 Grasser Racing, Lamborghini Gallardo FL2), P16: "I got off to a good start, which came as something of a surprise, as it´s my first outing since 2006. I then had a bump with a Porsche which spun me round on the Rauch corner. That was a setback, but at least I was able to drive plenty of laps without much traffic. I needed that, because Friday was the first time I had got into the cockpit of this vehicle."
René Bourdeaux (#8 Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner of Gentlemen class: "I wasn´t aggressive enough in yesterday´s race, so today I attacked more. Alfred (Renauer) drove a brilliant first stint and managed to stay ahead of two Corvettes. All I had to do in the second half of the race was to defend the position. What a wonderful race and result!"
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), second in the Gentlemen class: "We extracted as much out of today´s race as we were going to get. It wasn´t easy for us; I had to concentrate all the time on not straying over the white line marking the edge of the track so as not to get hit with a penalty. But otherwise, the race got better with each new lap. Mike (Parisy) did a good job, and I´m satisfied with second."
Gottfried Grasser (#43 Grasser Racing, Lamborghini Gallardo FL2), third in Gentlemen class: "We got bumped at the start of the race and were then given a drive-through penalty. The Lamborghini seems to run well in the ADAC GT Masters, at least in the temperatures we´ve experienced this weekend, so I´m really happy about that. The retirement of Hari (Proczyk) and Gerhard (Tweraser) was a great pity: I think the two of them were in with a chance of a really good result today."
