Toni Seiler has now notched up a brace of wins at the Nürburgring. After coming first in the Gentlemen category on Saturday, Toni Seiler (aided and abetted by Jeroen Bleekemolen) drove his Corvette to another victory on Sunday. The Swiss veteran was recording his 21st victory in the ADAC GT Masters amateur stakes. Current championship leader Christina Nielsen came second in her Porsche 911 ahead of yet another Swiss challenger in a Corvette, Remo Lips.

Seiler's win was never in any doubt as the yellow number 18 Corvette he was driving led the class from start to finish. Nielsen's runner-up spot was also more or less assured from the start, as co-driver Sean Edwards put the Porsche into an unassailable second position. The main excitement surrounded the battle for the final podium place, with Corvette driver Remo Lips ultimately prevailing over the second-stint challenge from René Bourdeaux in his Porsche. Bourdeaux crossed the line in fourth position ahead of yet another Corvette driver, Gerd Beisel.

Second place on Sunday was enough for Nielsen to consolidate her lead in the Gentlemen competition, stretching the gap on Bourdeaux to seven points. She now travels to the Red Bull Ring in Austria as unofficial 'half-time champion'.

"I am very happy with the race," said Seiler, who had already made an appearance with partner Bleekemolen on Sunday's podium as overall runner-up. "Diego (Alessi) came up behind me twice, but I was able to pull clear of him both times. Whenever he was close to me, I had to pull out all the stops and stay calm."

Nielsen was delighted to have moved even further ahead in the standings, despite having experienced problems with her Porsche: "I had a lot of understeer on the fast and medium-fast corners. We had no chance against the Corvettes this weekend."
