Varied field and a Mercedes-Benz Best time: the second ADAC GT Masters practice session ended at the Red Bull Ring with super sports cars from seven different manufacturers occupying the top eight positions and another personal best time for Maximilian Götz and Maximilian Buhk (Polarweiss Racing). After setting fastest time in the morning, ADAC GT Masters defending champion Maximilian Götz did even better in the second session at noon, improving his best time from first practice by another 0.3 seconds. As in FP1, the Gullwing of Götz/Buhk had a comfortable lead and ultimately finished 0.535 seconds up on the Corvette GT3 Z06.R of Diego Alessi/Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition). The field was very evenly matched in the second session: Mercedes-Benz, Corvette, BMW, Porsche, Ford, Audi and Lamborghini occupied the top eight positions and were covered by only 0.650 seconds.

The two Dutch drivers Simon Knap/Jeroen den Boer (DB Motorsport) were the fastest BMW drivers in the Z4 GT3, beating Mario Farnbacher/Philip Frommenwiler (Farnbacher Racing) in the Porsche 911 and Andreas Wirth/Christian Hohenadel (Callaway Competition) in a Corvette.

Frank Kechele/Dominik Schwager brought their Ford GT over the line in sixth place, beating off competition from Christer Jöns/Markus Winkelhock (Prosperia C Abt Racing) in the Audi R8 LMS ultra and local drivers Gerhard Tweraser/Hari Proczyk in the Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 (Grasser Racing). Sergey Afanasiev and Andreas Simonsen (Polarweiss Racing) in the second Mercedes-Benz also finished in the Top Ten, ahead of Daniel Dobitsch and Aditya Patel (MS RACING), who had been among the ten fastest in the field during first practice.
