Reigning ADAC GT Masters champions MS RACING have opted for two Audi R8 LMS ultras in the defence of their Super Sports Car League title in the 2013 season. Having won both driver and team trophies in only their second ADAC GT Masters season, MS RACING team have now decided to swap grille badges.
"Finishing top of both the driver and team standings in the ADAC GT Masters in our Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 ranks alongside our victory in the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup as the biggest achievement in the history of our team to date," said principal Harald Boettner. "We would like to thank Mercedes-AMG for a successful partnership that was characterised by great friendship at all times. In recent months, we have been offered the opportunity to contest the series in two Audi R8s, and we are very excited about this new challenge."
Continuing as premium partner and official sponsor of the team will be retail giant kfzteile24. This Berlin-based online mail order company specialises in spare and wear parts. It operates two highly professional and user-friendly online shops that have proved popular both with the trade and with the general public.
"Preparations for the title defence campaign are proceeding apace, and we are currently engaged in negotiations with drivers which we expect to reach a satisfactory conclusion very soon," said Harald Boettner, now looking forward to the team's third ADAC GT Masters season. "Rigorous testing with the new cars is scheduled for March, which should set us up for a great start in the season opener at Oschersleben on 24th April. The morale amongst all team members is sky high, and we are itching to get on with the tests."
