Porsche best time to start the season: Porsche duo Ragginger/Renauer secure fastest time in first practice

Early Friday morning, Martin Ragginger and Robert Renauer (Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport, Porsche 911) opened the ADAC GT Masters 2013 season in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben with a best time in the Porsche 911. Under a cloudless sky and air temperature of 18 degrees, the two Porsche drivers set a best time of 01:27.807 minutes and were 0.410 seconds faster than defending champion Maximilian Götz and co-driver Maximilian Buhk in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (Polarweiss Racing).

Corvette drivers Andreas Wirth/Christian Hohenadel (Callaway Competition) were third fastest from Christian Mamerow/Christer Jöns in the Audi R8 LMS ultra (Prosperia C. Abt Racing) and the Corvette of 2012 runners-up, Diego Alessi and Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition).

The two Dutch drivers, Jeroen den Boer/Simon Knap (DB Motorsport) produced the sixth fastest lap in the fastest of the BMW Z4 GT3s ahead of the new Ford GT with Nico Verdonck/Frank Kechele (Lambda Performance).

Christian Engelhart/Nicolas Armindo in the 911 GT3 R (Team Geyer & Weinig IT Consultancy), Andreas Simonsen/Sergey Afanasiev in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (Polarweiss Racing) and defending champion Sebastian Asch & Florian Stoll in the Audi R8 LMS Ultra (MS RACING) completed the Top Ten in first practice.
