Renauer/Ragginger secure fastest time at Spa: Renauer/Ragginger set first ADAC GT Masters best time in Spa

Porsche posted the first fastest time at the ADAC GT Masters debut on the Spa Francorchamps Formula 1 circuit in Belgium: Robert Renauer and Martin Ragginger (Tonino powered by Herberth Motorsport) were the quickest in their Porsche 911 GT3 R on Friday morning in cool conditions with a cloudy sky. The Porsche drivers notched up a best time of 2:21.979mins on the 7.004-kilometre circuit and were thus 0.243 seconds up on the Ford GT GT3 of local drivers, Nico Verdonck and Frank Kechele (Lambda Performance). Verdonck/Kechele achieved a very memorable lap time of: 2:22.222mins - amazingly, that was where the clock stopped on the Ford duo´s fastest lap.

Dino Lunardi and Philip Geipel (THE BOSS YACO Racing) were third in the fastest of the Audi R8 LMS ultras, 0.072 seconds behind the Ford. Martin Matzke and Yelmer Buurman, making a guest appearance in Belgium with Vita4One Racing Team had the quickest BMW Z4 GT3 and set the fourth fastest lap time ahead of the winners of the Oschersleben season-opener, Christopher Mies/René Rast in the Audi R8 LMS ultra (Prosperia C. Abt Racing).

Maximilian Götz and Maximilian Buhk (Polarweiss Racing) produced the sixth-fastest lap in their Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 ahead of the Porsche 911 GT3 R of the Danish mixed doubles pairing of Christina Nielsen and Allan Simonsen (Farnbacher Racing). A trio of BMW Z4 GT3s with Max Sandritter/Jörg Müller (PIXUM Team Schubert), Simon Knap/Jeroen den Boer (DB Motorsport) and Claudia Hürtgen/Dominik Baumann (PIXUM Team Schubert) rounded off the Top Ten.
