SaReNi United´s Chevrolet Camaro GT will be making its second appearance of the season in the ADAC GT Masters this coming weekend (13th to 15th September) at the Slovakia Ring. In his home race, Rosina will be taking to the wheel of the powerful American sports car with the 2010 ADAC GT Masters champion, Albert von Thurn and Taxis. Following their first outing in the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring last month, the SaReNi United racing team have built a completely new car and have made some improvements to its finer details.
Looking back, the team´s weekend at the Red Bull Ring was rather disappointing. In both races, the Camaro GT3 had to start from last place on the grid, since SaReNi were forced to sit out qualifying following an engine change. In the first race, von Thurn and Taxis retired after an incident during the opening lap. P20 was achieved in the second race after the team took a drive-through penalty. Yet there is no question that the highly motivated team will now want to produce better results at the Slovakia Ring.
Team manager Tomas Enge is confident: "We showed at the Red Bull Ring that the Camaro GT3 is not sluggish, even though we didn´t achieve the desired result. We will be arriving at the Slovakia Ring with a completely new car and, of course, we would like to show through better results that we have made some progress and have put the disappointment of Austria behind us. In Albert (von Thurn and Taxis) and Stefan (Rosina), we have two good racing drivers behind the wheel. I think we will be able to put in a solid performance."
