ROWE RACING to join ADAC GT Masters in 2014 : New Mercedes-Benz team in the ADAC GT Masters

"Now we´ll see some real sprinting," announced ROWE RACING team manager Hans-Peter Naundorf. The German team will line up next year for their first season in the ADAC GT Masters. The SLS AMG GT3 team will face new challenges over the sprint distance in the Super Sports Cars League; up until now, ROWE RACING has concentrated exclusively on long-distance racing and has enjoyed success in the VLN and in various 24-hour races.

"We are very excited about the task ahead: different circuits, shorter distances, tougher scraps and new technical requirements – these are big challenges that we will tackle with a high degree of professionalism. The ADAC GT Masters is a very attractive format for both teams and fans. The level of competition is extremely high, and the races always provide full-on action," said Naundorf.

In the first instance, Naundorf will rely on the successful squad of drivers at ROWE RACING to provide drivers for the ADAC GT Masters but also has plans to expand the driver pool. In addition to the ADAC GT Masters, ROWE RACING fans can continue to look forward to seeing the team compete at the Nordschleife in the VLN and in a number of 24-hour races during the new season. "We will take part in more races next year and intend to beef up the team in order to put the fastest possible driver-vehicle combination on the grid, so we will be scouting for new talent very shortly." said Naundorf.
