Schubert Motorsport with two BMW Z4 GT3s : BMW team to line up with Jörg Müller in ADAC GT Masters

Schubert Motorsport returns to the ADAC GT Masters in 2013 with new partners and new driver pairings. Sponsored by Pixum, one of Germany's leading online photo services providers, team boss Torsten Schubert and his crew will contest their second successive year in the ADAC GT Masters, fighting for victory in the BMW Z4 GT3.

PIXUM Team Schubert consists of a BMW Z4 GT3 with veteran Jörg Müller and 24-year-old Max Sandritter driving. While Müller was racing for BMW as a works driver in the 2012 American Le Mans Series (ALMS), Sandritter was busy gaining experience in the ADAC GT Masters.

Three-time ADAC GT Masters race winner Claudia Hürtgen and 21-year-old Dominik Baumann will drive Schubert Motorsport's second BMW Z4 GT3. The 2012 FIA GT3 European Championship winner has competed for Schubert Motorsport previously in January's 24 Hours of Dubai, where he earned his starting place in the ADAC GT Masters.

Schubert Motorsport rounded off their first full season in the ADAC GT Masters last year with a win by Hürtgen and Dominik Schwager at the season finale in Hockenheim. Hürtgen/Schwager finished the ADAC GT Masters 2012 season in fifth position in the drivers' standings after securing five podium finishes.

Team Manager Stefan Wendl: "It is always extremely important in motor racing to have strong partners that you can rely on. And so, we are very happy to have Pixum as partners for the upcoming season in the ADAC GT Masters. We are looking forward to another year in this top-class racing series and hope to continue last season's success. Our mix of young and experienced drivers is good, and now with two BMW Z4 GT3s, we are even better placed than in 2012."

Daniel Attallah (Pixum Founder & CEO): "Motor racing and photography go really well together. As a leader in online photo services, we at Pixum are therefore proud to sponsor Team Schubert. They are a superb outfit. We're looking forward to an exciting season!"

Claudia Hürtgen: "I would be very happy to continue where we left off in 2012 with a victory at Hockenheim. At any rate, the team is definitely stronger with two cars. It's going to be great, having these young and very talented team-mates on board. Here's to another successful season with Team Schubert!"

Dominik Baumann: "This year will be brilliant. I met Claudia Hürtgen briefly in January at the 24 Hours of Dubai, and we got along really great. I hope the pair of us can be up there with the front-runners this year. The BMW Z4 GT3 can certainly mix it with the best, for sure!"

Jörg Müller: "I'm looking forward to this new challenge with Team Schubert and to getting off to a flying start in the ADAC GT Masters. I know the team, I know the BMW Z4 GT3, and I'm highly motivated: All the signs are there, and this is going to be a first-rate season. My team-mate Max Sandritter is only a young guy but sure has a lot of talent. The chemistry between us is right. As far as I'm concerned, the season can begin tomorrow."

Max Sandritter: "I think it's brilliant to be driving for Team Schubert in 2013 and alongside an experienced guy like Jörg Müller. I'll be able to learn a lot from him. He's the perfect buddy for me. What's more, in what will be my second season, I'll be driving the BMW Z4 GT3, which is a very competitive car, so I'll be able to show exactly what I can do. I couldn´t be any happier and can't wait for the season to get underway."
