Sean Edwards has passed away: ADAC GT Masters mourns tragic loss of Edwards

The ADAC GT Masters is mourning the loss of Sean Edwards. The Briton died aged 26 following an accident during tests in Brisbane, Australia. Edwards was acting as driver coach to a 20-year-old Australian and was in the passenger seat when the Porsche crashed into a track barrier. Edwards was killed instantly, the driver was taken to hospital.

Edwards lined up a total of ten times in the ADAC GT Masters, always in a Porsche. He secured a podium at the Nürburgring with Christian Engelhart in 2012. In the 2013 season, he shared a Porsche with Danish driver Christina Nielsen at the Nürburgring race weekend. Edwards worked with Teams attempto Racing, Mühlner Motorsport, Geyer & Weinig - Schütz Motorsport and Farnbacher Racing.
