Test opportunity with Aston Martin Racing: Two-day test in Portugal with Aston Martin works team

Aston Martin Racing has issued an invitation to attend an exclusive test in Portugal. AMR will give drivers who have always wanted to try out the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 the unique opportunity to test the V12-engined super sports car. On the 17th and 18th February, Aston Martin Racing will hold test sessions in Portimão on the Algarve and will be offering interested drivers an opportunity to take the V12 Vantage out on the track.

Drivers who accept this offer of testing the GT3 sports car will be in good company since the Aston Martin works team of Stefan Mücke, Darren Turner and latest work's signing Bruno Senna will also be at the Portuguese circuit, preparing for their season in the FIA world endurance championship.

In the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3's debut season in the ADAC GT Masters, the only V12-engined sports car in the Super Sports Car League secured one victory, triumphing with Young Driver AMR and Kristian Poulsen/Nygaard at the Sachsenring.

For the muscle coupé's second season, Aston Martin has continued to improve the V12 Vantage GT3 without going down the costly updates route. Aston Martin GT3 engineer Dan Sayers told us: "The Vantage has a lot of potential that is currently limited by its classification. Other manufacturers sell annual update kits, but we are working with the FIA to unleash the potential that lies in the car through BOP (balance of performance)."
