ADAC GT Masters: Comments after free practice : Observations from the paddock after FP2

Florian Spengler (#14 MRS GT Racing, McLaren 12C GT3): "We've been having a difficult time so far in free practice, but I'm confident that we can up our game. I gave most of the free practice driving time to Christopher so that he could get used to the car and the tyres."

Markus Winkelhock (#16 YACO Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "So far, everything has fitted into place and the car feels good. I'm surprised by the fast times being set by the Porsches. I didn't expect them to be so quick here."

Nico Bastian (#22 ROWE Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): "Last time I raced here, it was in a Mini, but when you're driving a GT3 car, the track feels significantly different. The team and all of our drivers except for Jan have limited experience of driving a GT3 on this track, so we have a lot to learn."

Max Sandritter (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3): "It's much more difficult for us than last year, with the competition having become so fast on this track. We fitted new tyres for the second session, but we're not totally satisfied because the track was far too slippery."

Robert Renauer (#8 TONINO Team Herberth, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "Our result with two third places in free practice is great; that's more than we expected here. Now let's see how it looks after qualifying."

Tomas Enge (#24 Reiter Engineering, Chevrolet Camaro GT): "I'm clearly the fastest on the straights, but unfortunately there aren't too many of those here. On the twisty sections, it's not easy to get our car around the corner."

Anton Wossos (#4 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "A great track; it's my first outing here. The layout is very demanding and not easy to learn, but that's what makes this track so special."

Nathan Morcom (#5 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "The track is just one big rollercoaster, and it's a lot of fun. For me, it's by far the hardest track on the calendar."
