ADAC GT Masters: Comments after free practice: Observations from the paddock following free practice at Lausitzring.

Jaap van Lagen (#3 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "The balance of our Porsche isn't quite right - the 30kg success ballast after our win at Zandvoort is obviously making itself felt. But we have some ideas for improving the car ahead of qualifying."

Sebastian Asch (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "Free practice went well for us. I hope we have a good qualifying, because we certainly haven't had one yet this year."

Sébastien Ogier (#12 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "Unfortunately, we had a technical problem in free practice, so I was only able to complete five laps."

Jeroen Bleekemolen: (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "We're not totally satisfied with the car, and we need to analyse the data to see why that was. I have the impression that we are losing something in terms of straight-line speed. On the other hand, we have at least sorted out the gearbox problems that were plaguing us at Zandvoort."

Norbert Siedler (#8 TONINO Team Herberth, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "Unfortunately, we developed an engine problem right at the start of the second free practice session and now need to replace it ahead of qualifying."

Luca Ludwig: (#21 BKK MOBIL OIL Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): "So far, everything has gone exactly to plan for us. I am very satisfied. Now I'm hoping that we can convert our good performance in free practice into a decent qualifying result. I'm expecting a starting place on one of the front rows."

Albert von Thurn und Taxis: (#24 Reiter Engineering, Chevrolet Camaro GT): "Everything has gone OK so far in free practice, and we are satisfied with tenth place in the second session. On this particular circuit, though, it's unlikely that we can qualify any further forward. Our times were very fast in free practice compared to last year, and I'm curious to see how this manifests itself in qualifying."

Oliver Gavin: (#1 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "The early signs here are that our performance is slightly improved on Oschersleben; it's also a track that suits our Corvette slightly better. I'm driving here for the first time and the track is very special. There are some newly surfaced sections and also some dirt on the track, which doesn't make it any easier, and in part, it's very slippery."
