ADAC GT Masters: Comments after qualifying: Quotes from the last qualifying session of the 2014 season

Luca Ludwig (#21 BKK MOBIL OIL Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), pole position for Race 1: "I´m incredibly happy to have finally overcome my qualifying jinx this season. In the last few races, we could have done so much better in qualifying, but here at last, everything went well today. This time, we had a perfect and car and a good strategy, so I´m really pleased about this pole. Now it´s up to us tomorrow to make our pole position count."

Daniel Keilwitz (#1 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), pole position for Race 2: "I simply got everything right in qualifying - I don´t think I could have improved on anything. As we saw out there, posting a perfect lap was no easy task, but it worked out for me. I had no-one in front on my fast lap. Now I hope we can end the season with another victory."

Jaap van Lagen (#3 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P3 for Race 2: "Our good performance came as a surprise, even for us. We´re starting from the first and second rows, and in both races ahead of van der Linde and Rast. Hopefully, that will put the pair of them under some pressure. I´m hoping that we can win the first race, which should considerably improve our chances."

Christian Engelhart (#3 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P2 for Race 1: "Qualifying was chaotic; there were a lot of yellow flags, and then there was the interruption for Fabian´s mishap. It was difficult to choose the right moment. I had to break off two attempts, but at the third time of trying, it worked out OK. I´m very satisfied with second on the grid."

René Rast (#10 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P7 for Race 2: "Everything is on schedule as far as we´re concerned. I´m really happy with the way the quali went. I shall have no worries regarding the title if things continue like that. We only have to finish in Saturday´s race. We´re in a comfortable position initially. We need to place twice in the Top Six this weekend, but van Lagen has to win both races."

Alvaro Parente (#14 MRS GT-Racing, McLaren 12C GT3), P23 for Race 2: "My first day in the ADAC GT Masters was quite tricky. We had a few problems with the brakes that we couldn´t trace at first, and then other problems popped up, because we made the wrong changes. That ultimately cost us a decent qualifying result."

Luca Stolz (#27 HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P11 for Race 1: "I put too much pressure on myself in the quali, so things didn´t go too well for me in that session. However, tomorrow´s race is long and our race pace should be good. We should do well over the distance."

Patrick Assenheimer (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "Qualifying began very well for me, but then we had a problem with the gear change, and I was unable to post any more hot laps. Fortunately, we fixed it in the break before second practice, so Diego then had the chance to secure a decent grid position for us in the second race."

Lennart Marioneck (#17 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P17 for Race 2: "A technical problem in practice meant that we didn´t get to drive much, so I´m actually pleased with the time I posted. I could perhaps have gone even faster, but I didn´t have enough fuel for another lap."
