ADAC GT Masters: Comments after qualifying: This is what the ADAC GT Masters drivers said after qualifying

Max Sandritter (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), Pole Position Race 1: "We've finally bagged pole position. We had a lot of bad luck at the beginning of the season, but we always get straight back up when we take a fall. Pole is great, but the start will be really tricky because the start-finish straight is very long and wide."

Jens Klingmann (#20 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), Pole Position Race 2: "I went out on track right at the start of qualifying, had a clear track and was already well on my way to securing best time when the quali was stopped after a Porsche spun into the gravel. I was a bit concerned about whether I could post another hot lap on the restart but got a clear run when the session resumed and saw from the split times on the screen in the car that things were going fine. We've earned it after a tough season first half."

David Jahn (#13 RWT RacingTeam, Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position 2, Race 1: "It's a shame that we didn't secure pole. The team had already told me on the in-lap via the pit radio that I was in P1. Unfortunately, Max Sandritter went even faster. The BMW will certainly be hard to beat in the race, but it will be very exciting to see how the race pans out over the distance."

Philip Frommenwiler (#6 Farnbacher Racing, Porsche 911 GT3 R), grid position 10, Race 1: "We're in P10 and P8 on the grid, so we're not too unhappy, because that's about exactly what the Porsche is capable of here at this circuit. The track is constantly changing, grip conditions are different almost by the hour, which does not make things easy. The start will certainly be exciting tomorrow. I hope we have a clean, trouble-free race."

Nico Bastian (#22 ROWE Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): grid position 5, Race 1: "It's very easy to see just what's possible here at this track after doing some testing first. This is the first track where we've tested beforehand, and it showed in the quali, as we are the best Mercedes-Benz here."

Christian Engelhart: (#3 GW IT Racing Team, Porsche 911 GT3 R): "The quali was a bit like in the Porsche Supercup. I made best use of the tyres as they peaked on my quickest lap. The tyre has a peak that lasts for exactly one lap, and I absolutely nailed the middle sector which is particularly tricky."

Mathias Lauda (#27 HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3); grid position 19, Race 2: "When I compare my times with those of my team-mates, I can see that I'm not doing too badly. I was just as fast as my team-mate Luca Stolz, which is OK for my first qualifying session with the car and in this series. Luca starts in sixth, but unfortunately, I only did enough to secure grid position 19 in the second group."

Patrick Assenheimer (#2 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), grid position 8, Race 2: "Grid position eight in the first race is great, and qualifying went well. We are faster here than I would have expected before the start of the weekend. We took part in testing here on Thursday, which helped us enormously."
