Dominik Baumann (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), winner: "It was already clear to me before the start that the Corvette was going to get past, but subsequently I was significantly faster and had no problem in retaking the lead. Our car was brilliant. There was no need to change a single thing after practice, and it all went as planned."
Claudia Hürtgen (#19 PIXUM Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), winner: "We consistently made the correct decisions all weekend and simply extracted 100% from our package. I have never known the running gear on our BMW to be in such excellent shape as this weekend, and we exploited it to the full. I decided not to take any unnecessary risks in the race, which is why the Audi got a little closer."
Herbert Handlos (#7 TONINO Team Herberth, Porsche 911 GT3 R), winner of Gentlemen classification: "Today's race was a difficult one, and there is no way I would have won the class by my own efforts. Against the Corvette especially, we didn't stand a chance today. It just didn't seem to go right, and I couldn't find any sort of rhythm. My team-mate, Alfred Renauer, was fantastic today and the whole team did a great job. I really have to say a big thank-you to all of them."
Martin Ragginger (#3 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), third: "We had more luck at the start today than yesterday. Jaap got away really well. We then kept up well with the leaders' pace. My job after the driver changeover was to post some hot laps in order to secure third place and get the car over the line. I was under no pressure really and so eased off a little. The car was excellent the whole weekend."
Kelvin van der Linde (#10 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), second: "We knew that ultimately we couldn't catch the BMW. Baumann was just too fast in the first stint of the race. The BMW finally eased off a little, so we were not quite as fast as it may have seemed. Our first race this weekend was quite tough, but we fought back strongly today. To take five podiums from six races is great, as things are very tight at the top of the championship table."
René Rast (#10 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), second: "I moved into second place on Lap 2 and then actually had a fairly relaxed race. I tried to keep up with the BMW but couldn't quite catch it. Maybe today we were a bit too conservative in our choice of setup here. It wasn't quite good enough to secure the win, but our points tally is still showing a plus."
Jaap van Lagen (#3 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), third: "Things have gone well for me so far this season. I was lucky at the start and moved into fourth. Then I pushed too hard. Bleekemolen's Corvette was in front of me, but I couldn't overtake, as he had the speed advantage. We then got third place in the pits. More might have been possible yesterday, but I'm very satisfied with the weekend."
Sébastien Ogier (#12 Prosperia C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P8: "I enjoyed the weekend very much; it was a lot of fun. I kept on improving and my lap times were not at all bad. Our overall performance could have been a bit better, but we had a problem on Friday and didn't get much track time in, which made things quite tricky. I'm very pleased, though, and would like to thank Prosperia C Abt Racing, Christian Abt, Slobodan Cvetkovic and, last but not least, Markus Winkelhock for this opportunity and a great weekend. Competing in the ADAC GT Masters was certainly a terrific experience."
Jaime Alguersuari (#22 ROWE RACING, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P7: "My team-mate Nico Bastian had to do most of the hard work today and he drove a great race. It was my job today to take care of the start. It's the first time I've had the responsibility in this series, so I didn't want to take too many risks. Even so, I managed to make good a few positions. I actually learned more in today's race than I did yesterday. I'm happy with my performance this weekend, but it will certainly take another few races before I know the car well enough to utilise its full potential. We intend to finish even further forward in the next race at the Red Bull Ring."
Maro Engel (#23 ROWE RACING, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P5: "I got away to a good start and moved forward quite well. I was up there with the guys in front of me but unable to make a move on them. The Camaro came from behind and overtook at the end of my stint. The battle for fourth place with my team-mate Jan Seyffarth was then very fascinating to watch. All in all, we're very satisfied with fifth place. We improved consistently and had great pace. We need to improve further in order to take the next step forwards."
Nico Bastian (#22 ROWE RACING, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P7: "Our race was great, and our pace was really fast. We improved the car for today's race and were able to keep up quite well with our opponents and even attack. We're on the right track and think we've now found the right direction. The whole team has benefited this weekend from the fact that we're now running two cars."
Toni Seiler (#18 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), runner-up in Gentlemen class: "I can hardly begin to describe in words what happened. I am very upset about the accident on the last lap. Such driving is unacceptable, and my Corvette is a total write-off. So I cannot accept Buhk's excuses, and who is going to pay for the damage? I braked normally; just ten metres earlier and he would have hit me full on."
Maximilian Buhk (#26 HTP Motorsport, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P16: "The accident was clearly my mistake and my fault. I tried to outbrake Seyffarth's Mercedes, thinking I was in a good position. I then ran over the grass strip briefly, which made it more difficult to decelerate. Toni is definitely not to blame in any way. It's a shame that he will not accept my apology and cannot understand that I simply made a mistake. I can only learn from this incident. Of course, we're not exactly thrilled about the damage to our car."
Daniel Keilwitz: (#1 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P9: "Things did not go well for Oliver Gavin at the start, and then we had two spins. But for spinning off, we would certainly have been among the Top Five."
