Audi claimed the initial bragging rights on Day 2 of the official ADAC GT Masters pre-season tests at etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, as the Audi R8 LMS ultra pairing of René Rast and Kelvin van der Linde set the fastest lap in the 90-minute session with a time of 01:27.540 minutes. Hot on the heels of the Audi duo was the number 1 Corvette driven by reigning champion Daniel Keilwitz and new partner Andreas Wirth. In the fourth of five sessions, the Corvette crew were just 0.099 seconds adrift of the Audi.
After setting the fastest time in two of the three test sessions on Tuesday in their Porsche 911 GT3 R, Sebastian Asch and Philip Frommenwiler once again put in a solid performance – the Farnbacher Racing partners were 0.166 seconds off the pace. In fourth place was the YACO Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra driven by Rahel Frey and Philip Geipel, followed by another Farnbacher Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R with Mario Farnbacher and Nathan Morcom sharing the cockpit.
