David Jahn to replace Gerd Beisel : Sudden change of drivers for Corvette team RWT Racing

RWT Racing will introduce a new driver alongside Sven Barth for the start of the ADAC GT Masters season in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben next weekend (April 25th-27th), as David Jahn will now be taking his turn in the cockpit of the Corvette GT3 Z06.R. Team boss Gerd Beisel, who also doubles up as a driver will not take the wheel of the American muscle car on medical advice. "I had another routine examination after the tests at Oschersleben," said Beisel. Those results led Beisel to take the decision for the time being to miss the first few races of the season at least.

Consequently, David Jahn will share the Corvette GT3 Z06.R with Sven Barth in the first three ADAC GT Masters events. Jahn has already gained experience with GT3 cars during the last four years. He spent two years competing in certain Porsche Carrera Cup races, learning his GT skills in the Porsche Sports Cup. Last year, Jahn drove the Porsche 911 GT3R prepared by Farnbacher Racing in the ADAC GT Masters. "I think we've put together a powerful combination of drivers with Sven and David, and they will produce one or two surprises," said an optimistic Gerd Beisel, referring to the start of the upcoming season. Beisel will now devote himself completely to his role as team boss.
