kfzteile24 APR Motorsport to field an Audi R8: MS RACING team lines up under a new name but sticks with Audi

Two weeks before the start of the ADAC GT Masters season, another contender has appeared on the list of teams entering an Audi R8 LMS ultra in the Super Sports Car League. Team kfzteile24 APR Motorsport is perhaps better known by its previous name of MS RACING, under which it won the ADAC GT Masters team trophy in 2012. kfzteile24 APR Motorsport are the 14th outfit to have registered for this year's competition. Starting with the first weekend of the season (25th to 27th April) at the etropolis Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben, there will be 26 supercars from eight different manufacturers on the grid.

The kfzteile24 APR Motorsport crew led by manager Harald Böttner and the driver pairing of Daniel Dobitsch and Florian Stoll will be working with new and existing partners to exploit the experience gained over the past year and to carry on a successful run of form as they enter their second season with Audi.

"We had six Top-10 finishes on eight race weekends, the highlights of which were our P5 and P7 results in the grand finale at Hockenheim," says team principal Harald Böttner. "This fills us with confidence that we have almost completely made up for the lack of race experience with the Audi that held us back at the start of last season. With our partners at APR Motorsport, kfzteile24 and EK Automation, we are currently making intensive preparations for the impending campaign, and we are working flat out to improve our performance on the racetrack."

kfzteile24, who were the main MS RACING sponsors in 2012 and 2013, will once again have their name emblazoned on the car. The Berlin-based online giant in the field of automotive spares and accessories operates two online stores at www.kfzteile24.de and www.autoteile24.de which are popular with German motorists who want spare parts delivered in a hurry. Joining the full-range provider as co-sponsor is Audi specialist APR Motorsport.

kfzteile24 CEO Matthias Kieper: "After winning both the ADAC GT Masters team and drivers' championships in our first year as sponsor in 2012, the team then took on a major challenge with the switch to Audi. The steady improvement in performance over the course of last year together with the volume of experience gained has given us the opportunity to prepare the Audi R8 optimally for the coming season. Our team is highly motivated and we just can't wait to get going in Oschersleben at the end of this month."
