PIXUM Team Schubert have finalised their crew of four for the 2014 ADAC GT Masters. The four drivers who achieved a Schubert one-two victory for the Oschersleben-based team at the Sachsenring last year will share the drive in the two BMW Z4 GT3s. Last season´s winners of two races Claudia Hürtgen and Dominik Baumann will be starting their second season together, whilst Max Sandritter and Jens Klingmann, who won the Sachsenring round in 2013, will share the second Z4.
"I´m delighted that we will be contesting the ADAC GT Masters for the third year in a row," said Stefan Wendl during ADAC GT Masters preseason testing at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. "We will be working with the same driver crews from last year and, thanks to the support of PIXUM, Jochen Schweizer, ABC Fliesen and last but not least, Schubert Motors, it has proved possible to sign Claudia Hürtgen and Dominik Baumann for start number 19 and Max Sandritter and Jens Klingmann for #20. The biggest change in our squad this season is that we have replaced Jörg Müller with Jens Klingsman, as Jörg will be busy in Japan this year."
The 2014 Super Sports Car League season kicks off for PIXUM Team Schubert in two weeks´ time with a home race; the etropolis Motorsport Arena is located just a few hundred metres from team headquarters. Wendl: "Oschersleben is our home track and we have everything well sorted there. We have an excellent package as regards our car. The track is generally not well suited to the BMW, though, as it sits better on faster tracks with flowing curves. But we will fight hard there with the intention of laying firm foundations for the rest of the season."
