"Anticipation, excitement and gratitude" - this is how ROWE RACING manager Hans-Peter Naundorf sums up his feelings ahead of the team's entry into the ADAC GT Masters. ROWE RACING will be embarking on their first ever campaign in the Super Sports Car League on the weekend of 25th to 27th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The Worms (Rhineland-Palatinate) based outfit is entering a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 (starting number 23) driven by former DTM contestant Maro Engel and winner of three previous ADAC GT Masters races Jan Seyffarth.
"We are pleased that the start of the season is now in sight, and I'm very satisfied with our state of preparedness," says team boss Naundorf. "Up to now, we've only competed in endurance races, so the ADAC GT Masters is a new sporting challenge for us. It will be very interesting to gauge where we're at during these first few races. With Maro and Jan at the wheel and with our experienced team behind us, we have all the right ingredients to be competitive early on in this strongly contested series."
In the run-up to the team's first ADAC GT Masters season, Naundorf's crew had more work to do on the gullwing than the manager would have liked. Hence the profuse expressions of gratitude to the team: "We had sustained some major damage to our cars, but we all got stuck in to ensure that at least one of them would be ready for the season opener. This shows that everyone at ROWE RACING is one hundred percent behind the ADAC GT Masters project. I am very grateful for all the fantastic support I have received."
