Kelvin van der Linde has had a chance to warm up for the sixth race ADAC GT Masters weekend at the Nürburgring (August 29th-31st). Over the weekend, van der Linde, currently ranked third in the Super Sports Car League, was able to get his eye in at the Nürburgring sprint circuit. Van der Linde had his first outing in a DTM car at the DTM fixture, driving an Audi RS5 DTM race taxi.
Rally driver Armin Schwarz was just one of the South African´s VIP passengers. Van der Linde was joined on the ‘taxi rank´ by another ADAC GT Masters driver, Prosperia C Abt Racing team-mate Nicki Thiim, who also drove Audi guests around the Nürburgring.
Christian Engelhart, however, had no time for passengers this weekend. The Bavarian beat off stiff competition to take the lead in the Porsche Carrera Cup standings at the Nürburgring, which was another excellent way of preparing for the ADAC GT Masters weekend in almost 14 days´ time.
