RWT Racing are all set for their first full season in the ADAC GT Masters. The team and their driver pairing of Gerd Beisel and Sven Barth used the official pre-season tests at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben to fine-tune their Corvette GT3 Z06.R for the coming campaign. According to Beisel und Barth, the Callaway Competition Corvette, which has been completely rebuilt over the winter, ran perfectly during the extensive tests, and they are now looking forward to the first race weekend.
"We were delighted about the technical state of the car," says Sven Barth. The two drivers used the first day of testing at Oschersleben to accustom themselves to the revamped Corvette. The second day was given over to perfecting the setup. "We compiled some valuable data and were very pleased with what we found," says team manager Gerd Beisel.
On the second day of testing, Sven Barth was comfortably among the Top Ten on the timesheets. "In my first run, I set the sixth fastest time overall," says Barth. "We were even faster in the afternoon session, posting the third-best time."
RWT Racing reeled off slightly more than 50 laps at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Now the team from Eberbach near Heidelberg are confident of making an impact in the season opener at Oschersleben.
