Jeroen Bleekemolen (#7 Bentley Team HTP, Bentley Continental GT3), winner: "A great start to the season for us. At the start, I lost first position, but we had good tactics with a perfectly timed pit stop. My start was good, but unfortunately a bump with an opponent meant I had to relinquish the lead. The Corvette was a bit faster to begin with, but I was able to stay in contact. Luca drove a strong race and withstood a lot of pressure. It was lucky for us in the end that the Corvette had to drop out."
Luca Stolz (#7 Bentley Team HTP, Bentley Continental GT3), winner: "I was slightly faster than the Corvette in front of me throughout the whole of the second stint, but I was never quick enough to overtake. I didn't want to risk too much, as I was in second place, but in the end, it was enough for the win. We learned a lot after our bad luck in the first race on Saturday and did everything right today."
Luca Ludwig (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), second: "I am delighted with P2. It was a great weekend, we were consistent throughout, and we didn't make any mistakes. This result is a good basis for going forward."
Sebastian Asch (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), second: "We were close to a win here; we weren't far off coming out of the pits and back onto the track ahead of the Bentley. The Bentley and the Corvette drove at a good pace, but I managed to stay in touch. Towards the end of the race, I eased off the accelerator slightly. We were counting on a different outcome here, but when you have two second-place finishes, you've probably done everything right anyway."
Hari Proczyk (#42 HP Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), third: "To be standing on the podium twice is fantastic. We were also quite lucky, as the car was becoming difficult to drive towards the end of the race. With the retirement of the Corvette, we inherited P3, which was sensational for us. I know how long teams have to spend in the ADAC GT Masters to get up there amongst the front-runners. We arrive here with relatively little experience and score two podiums at our first attempt!"
Klaus Bachler (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), fourth: "My start was pretty good today. Unfortunately, I then skidded off into the gravel while jostling for position. That cost me a few places. Before the pit stop, though, I put in a really fast lap which helped me make up some lost ground. And at the stop, we had a very good strategy which won us six places. All in all, it was enough for us to finish fourth. I'm delighted with that. And to be leading the championship is just great."
Daniel Keilwitz (#66 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), DNF: "I knew how Jeroen starts, so I was ready for him. We had conserved a set of new tyres for the race, so I was able to pull away on the first few laps. Even after the pit stop, we were able to stay ahead, but then our luck just ran out."
Andreas Wirth (#66 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3), DNF: "We were only two or three laps short of the win, but I suppose it just wasn't our day today. Our strategy was good, and our race performance was good. The Bentley kept me under a lot of pressure through to the final stages of the race, and I really had to extend myself. The retirement is obviously extremely frustrating."
Florian Scholze (#22 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO), winner in Gentlemen class: "I had a superb scrap with Diego Alessi, in which I ultimately had to back down so as not to risk anything. I then tried to go with the flow, which worked out OK. There was no danger from behind. All in all, it was a quiet race. Apart from Alessi, nobody overtook me, so I'm very satisfied."
Dominic Jöst (#22 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO), winner in Gentlemen class: "The race went well today. I took over in P11 and then drove the car to a P8 finish. The pace of the car was good, and I was able to keep up with the rest of the field. Throughout the whole of last season, we never once finished eighth in the general classification, so from that perspective, we are highly satisfied."
Remo Lips (#13 RWT Racing, Corvette Z06.R GT3), runner-up in Gentlemen class: "That was not an easy race; all the time, I had an Audi on my tail. But we had good tactics to deal with that. I never quite found my rhythm; otherwise I might have finished further forward."
Andreas Weishaupt (#3 C.Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P3 in Gentlemen class: "I've only been in motor racing for four years now, and for me, the ADAC GT Masters is a tough environment. I've been on a steep upward trend, and I want to compete with the top GT3 drivers. My race today was actually quite good considering that we had a small problem after the pit stop which cost us some time. Third place in the Gentlemen class is very good after yesterday's difficult race. I still have a lot to learn, but I will certainly carry on developing."
