Tomas Enge (#25 Reiter Engineering, Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX), winner: "On the final laps, the pressure from the Corvette was intense, but I was able to control the gap. We took a big risk switching from the Chevrolet Camaro to the Lamborghini. We also brought in a fast driver from Australia, David Russell, who didn't know anything about the series, the track or the car. But our massive confidence in the car and the driver has been vindicated. The result is far better than expected. We had a great car, and our hard work of recent months has paid off here. So far, we have not allowed ourselves to make the slightest mistake this weekend. This performance by David is incredible, because he has never been here before. It's a challenging track anyway and the field is massively competitive with 18 cars within one second of each other. Tomorrow, we aim to be on the podium again."
David Russell (#25 Reiter Engineering, Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX), winner: "My start was not the best, but it was good enough to immediately get us into the battle for the lead. The Nissan was very strong in the first stint, but I was able to stay in touch. Tomas then did a great job for the remainder of the race. My first race in this series and my first win - I couldn't be happier."
Daniel Keilwitz (#66 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "My winning streak at the Red Bull Ring has come to an end, but I intend to start a new one tomorrow. Towards the end of the race, Tomas clearly eased off slightly, but I wasn't fast enough to pose any sort of danger to him. It would have been nice to have won here and continued my run, but we were apprehensive about it getting a lot more difficult here this time. Now we have to win tomorrow, but from third on the grid, that looks feasible."
Andreas Wirth (#66 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "At the start, I was probably a bit too charitable to my opponents, and that cost me a position to the Porsche. Being passed by the Lamborghini wasn't part of the plan, but the Gallardo has tremendous traction. It was a clean race, and we gave it everything we've got. Today, we didn't have enough for first place. The Lamborghini was simply better today, but tomorrow everything is up for grabs."
Luca Ludwig (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3); P3: "I wasn't expecting a podium today. We had a great car; it was super to drive and extremely consistent. My stint was fun. That's the way you score points, and that's the way it has to be."
Sebastian Asch (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P3: "My start was good, but I had a minor bump on the first corner. Throughout the race, I always managed to stay in touch with the leading group. We wanted to do a flawless job and score points, and that's exactly what we did. Three races, three podiums and now the championship lead - what more could you want?"
Remo Lips (#13 RWT RacingTeam, Corvette Z06.R GT3), winner in Gentlemen class: "I had a top start and was matching the others for pace. I overtook an Audi which had been holding me up, and I'm very satisfied with my first Gentlemen victory of 2015."
Andreas Weishaupt (#3 C.Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), runner-up in Gentlemen class: "My start was very good, and I was able to overtake three opponents. However, I still have a lot to learn when it comes to one-on-one action. Anyway, Christer was very good in the second half of the race. I am happy about second place, because the Red Bull Ring is definitely not a track suited to Audis. Spa in 14 days will certainly another difficult proposition, so I'm pinning my hopes on the Lausitzring in four weeks."
Philipp Eng (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P5: "Just at the wrong time, I developed a slow puncture on the lap before my pit stop. That cost me four seconds on the in-lap, and we lost another 13 seconds changing the wheel. Fifth place is the best we could have managed in the circumstances."
Lennart Marioneck (#12 Senkyr Motorsport, BMW Z4 GT3), DNF: "We were handed a stop-and-go penalty which the team did not tell me about because they were unsure. It was too late by the time they told me, as we'd already been black-flagged for failing to make the stop."
Jens Klingmann (#80 BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), DNF: "We had a brake failure on the rear axle. Luckily, I got the car safely back to the pits. It was the first technical problem for Schubert in four years of competing in the ADAC GT Masters."
Uwe Alzen (#19 BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), P8: "It felt today like we'd brought a knife to a gunfight. We had no chance in the one-on-ones. We just couldn't keep up."
Stefan Wackerbauer (#1 C Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), P10: "As expected, it was tough. The Red Bull Ring is simply not the right track for our car. We placed tenth after starting from P18 on the grid, which is OK here."
Marc Gassner (#23 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3), DNF: "I was rear-ended in the first turn and then lost drive, which finished my race."
Andreas Simonsen (#42 HP Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), DNF: "We shattered a brake disc, but fortunately Hari was able to park up safely. We don't know what caused the defect."
Adrian Zaugg (#63 Grasser Racing, Lamborghini Huracán GT3), P6: "The car was excellent in the race, but unfortunately we lost 20 seconds in a drive-through penalty that cost us a podium. We were just 1 km/h over the limit in the pit lane. Generally speaking, the car was very good in the race, even though we lost a few metres to the competition while accelerating out of the turns. This was my first GT3 sprint race today, and I have to admit that I really like the format. It's much more intense than the long-distance races that I've contested so far in the car."
Dominic Jöst (#23 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3): "I made an excellent start and was then able to keep everything under control. I was afraid that our problems with the electronics would catch up with us as soon as we turned off the engine during the pit stop and tried to restart it. So it was no big surprise to me that the problem cropped up again when Florian took over and he had to park up. Too bad, because second place would have been possible today."
