Martin Ragginger (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), pole position for Race 1: "It's great to be starting from pole again. This is our sixth pole position of the season, and there is no better way to go into a race. But as you will have noticed, we haven't been making much out of our good starting positions recently. One reason for this is the slightly higher tyre wear on our rear axle. The cooler temperatures here should help us, and a little rain would not go amiss. The qualifying result proves once again how well we are working together as a team."
Klaus Bachler (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), P6, Race 2: "After Martin took pole - for which I am very grateful - I had expected more than sixth place. I hope that we are now finally able to convert our qualifying result into a victory, and that I can catch up in the championship. I have a good feeling about that."
Dominik Baumann (#80 BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), pole position for Race 2: "We were good in free practice, we tested here last week, and we were therefore convinced that we would be good in quali. I got the lap just right. I knew then that there was no more to be had, so I returned to the pits. I generally take pole position once per year, so I suppose that day has come around again. The foundation for a good result has been laid."
Sebastian Asch (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3) P3, Race 1: "Third on the grid in the first race is a good starting position. We're aiming primarily to go the distance, relying on our car's reliability. I can see plenty of opportunities for us, particularly in the final third segment of the race."
Luca Ludwig (#21 Team Zakspeed, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), P9, Race 2: "We did all we could in qualifying, but more was not possible today. A good result is certainly possible for us here over the distance."
Remo Lips (#13 RWT RacingTeam, Corvette Z06.R GT3), P 18, Race 2: "I had to miss the last fixture at the Sachsenring and I'm now feeling the effects of the long break this weekend. I've got to first find my feet again, which is not easy I've got to first find my feet again, which is not easy not on such a demanding track."
Dominic Jöst (#22 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3): "Florian Scholze had an accident in free practice while approaching the final turn before the finish. We don't yet know what caused it. He's fine, but the car is out of action this weekend. It's very frustrating that we now have to miss both races here."
