- ADAC GT Masters teams are testing feverishly with some six weeks to go before the start of the season on the weekend of 24th to 26th April in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Bentley team HTP tested the new Bentley Continental GT3 early in March in Nogaro, France. C Abt Racing headed off to the Ascari Race Resort in Spain last weekend with the Audi R8 LMS ultra. MRS GT Racing also got their hands on their first model of the new Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 and have been busy posting test kilometres.
- ADAC GT Masters title defender Kelvin van der Linde currently has the stress of moving to Kempten but was cheered by some good news in the form of an award in his native South Africa. The Guild of South African Automotive Journalists selected the Audi driver as their motor racing hero of 2014.
- MRS GT Racing have a mammoth programme ahead of them this year. The team led by Karsten Molitor will line up with two Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3s in the ADAC GT Masters and outings with the Nissan are planned in two other GT series. The team are also involved in the Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup Germany, entering a Porsche in the 24-hr series. Christian Engelhart has been lined up by MRS to drive the Porsche.
- Reiter Engineering have further developed the successful Lamborghini Gallardo, the championship car of the 2010 ADAC GT Masters, for the 2015 season with the latest incarnation, the R-EX. The new and considerably wider Lamborghini Gallardo has already notched up its first success. The latest Gallardo drove to its first victory recently at a test outing in a club sport event staged in Homestead, Miami, Florida.
- This year, Reiter Engineering will have an online presence to provide fans of the mighty Chevrolet Camaro and the Lamborghini Gallardo with memorabilia. Using the website address www.reiter-engineering.com, the team have opened a fan shop, where tuning parts will also soon be available to buy online along with caps and T-shirts.
- ADAC GT Masters driver Philip Geipel was recently involved with a good cause at the Sachsenring. Geipel was at the Sachsenring rally festival in the role of a speedy taxi driver, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Takings from the taxi business were donated to a charity that helps leukaemia patients in the Erzgebirge region of Germany.
- Rahel Frey, the team-mate of Philip Geipel in the Audi R8 LMS ultra of YACO Racing, made a special appearance in her home country of Switzerland. Frey presented the second generation of the new GT3 sports car, the Audi R8 LMS at the Geneva Motor Show, assisted by Prof Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Head of Technical Development at AUDI AG, Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen and DTM driver Edoardo Mortara.
- ADAC GT Masters Gentlemen champion Herbert Handlos will start his 2015 motorsport campaign this weekend. The Austrian will drive a Porsche 911 GT3 R at the 12-hrs of Mugello in Italy, partnered by a number of drivers, including his ADAC GT Masters team-mate from last year, Alfred Renauer. MRS GT Racing are also in the line-up in Italy with a Porsche. Christian Engelhart will be there along with the two Americans Charles Espenlaub and Charles Putnam, who lined up previously in the ADAC GT Masters in 2013.
- SPORT1 are the new live television partner of the ADAC GT Masters and will broadcast all this year's 16 races in the Super Sports Car League live on TV. Many SPORT1 presenters are keen to be in on the act as the SPORT1 broadcasts get under way. Presenter Panagiota Petridou, PS Pro Jean-Pierre Kraemer, presenter and model Rebecca Mir, model Louisa Mazzurana, former Miss Tuning, presenter and playmate Katharina Kuhlmann and TV star Jan Leyk, plus various professional footballers from regional Bundesliga squads have all said that they will be at the ADAC GT Masters for the start of the season in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
