Another gentlemen podium for Senkyr Motorsport: Successful ADAC GT Masters debut for Samuel Sladecka

This could be a sort of recapitulation of another race weekend in ADAC GT Masters for team Senkyr Motorsport which took place at Spa-Francorchamps. Jakub Knoll had another duties this time so Lennart Marioneck shared cockpit of the white BMW Z4 GT3 with young and talented Slovak Samuel Sladecka (21) for whom it was a great debut in ADAC GT Masters.

And it was a successful debut. The Slovak-German duo gained another podium in gentlemen-class and nice fifteenth place overall in Saturday's race. Sunday's race was marked with a heavy rain so Sladecka with Marioneck fought more with the conditions than with another drivers. Sladecka had small contact with the barrier shortly after the start, but fortunately the car remained ok. Weather conditions were tough for all drivers and our drivers' goal was clear - to finish the race. They managed it and gain fourth place in bronze grade drivers.

More from Belgian race weekend from the main actors:

Lennart Marioneck: "It was very tough weekend for us. Race one was good for us but we have struggled a lot at the race two due to the heavy rain. It was my first race in wet with this car so I didn't feel very comfortable but after all I think our performance was quite OK. Next time we have to improve our setup to the rain conditions. Car was little bit understeer on the water. I'm really looking forward for Lausitzring now which I like a lot."

Samuel Sládečka: "It was an great weekend for me. It was little bit pity that in the race 2 started to rain because I was looking forward to dry race. There was a lot of water and we were starting from the end of the grid so I couldn't see quite much. I overtook two cars but then I said to myself that the priority is to finish the race. It was unbelievable weekend for me and I hope I will start in ADAC GT again this year or in the future."

Robert Šenkýř, team boss: "Another tough race weekend for us is over. I'm glad that we finished both races, especially the Sunday's one because of the heavy rain. If we'd look closely at the whole weekend, I think we can be more than satisfied. We gain another bronze podium and a lot of new experiences. It was the first wet race in Spa with Z4 GT3 for both drivers so it wasn't really bad. We shouldn't forget that the Samuel was for the very first time in the car in free practice 1 on Friday. "
