BMW continue to dominate in FP2: Track alternates between wet and dry in free practice at Spa-Francorchamps

Wet and dry surface conditions, intermittent drizzle and the BMW Z4 GT3 of Jens Klingmann and Dominik Baumann (BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert) topping the timesheets – the second free practice session on the third race weekend of the 2015 ADAC GT Masters at Spa-Francorchamps was essentially a rerun of the first. The afternoon began as the morning had finished, with changeable weather and with the selfsame front-runners who now managed to improve their previous best by a full three seconds. Close behind with a gap of only 0.179 seconds was the HP Racing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 driven by Hari Proczyk and ADAC GT Masters debutant Bernd Schneider. Luca Stolz and Jeroen Bleekemolen in the Bentley Continental GT3 entered by Bentley Team HTP set the third fastest time ahead of the BMW Z4 GT3 (BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert) driven by Claudia Hürtgen and Uwe Alzen.

Florian Stoll and Marc Basseng (kfzteile24 MS Racing) were the fastest Audi duo in the second 60-minute session, coming fifth ahead of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of championship leaders Luca Ludwig and Sebastian Asch (Team Zakspeed).

Clemens Schmid and Fabian Hamprecht placed the second of the two Bentley Continental GT3s (Bentley Team HTP) seventh ahead of Daniel Dobitsch and Edward Sandström in another kfzteile24 MS RACING Audi R8 LMS ultra. Completing the Top Ten were the Austrian duo of Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger in the Porsche 911 GT3 R entered by GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport and defending champion Kelvin van der Linde together with new partner Stefan Wackerbauer in a C.Abt Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra.
