Buhk becomes Bentley boy in ADAC GT Masters: Maximilian Buhk is to join forces with Bentley in the ADAC GT Masters for 2015

Maximilian Buhk will line up in a new super sports car in 2015. The 22-year-old starts the new season as a works driver with Bentley and will drive one of the new Bentley Continental GT3s for Bentley Team HTP. Buhk has signed a contract as a works driver that extends over a number of years with the British manufacturer and now becomes one of the legendary 'Bentley boys' who first founded the marque's reputation by notching up racing successes over 100 years ago. Buhk, who was named ADAC Junior Racing Driver of the Year in 2013 will enjoy factory support for the first time and become part of Bentley's global programme with the Continental GT3 in his role as a works driver. Maxi Buhk impressed his new employers during testing at Portimão in Portugal towards the end of 2014.

Buhk will compete for Bentley Team HTP and the M-Sport works team in the ADAC GT Masters and in other series and will also contest the ADAC Zurich 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, the Bathurst 12 Hours in Australia and the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi. Buhk took the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 for HTP Motorsport in the ADAC GT Masters from 2012 through to 2014, securing three wins and one pole position. He took his first steps in motor racing in Formel ADAC.

Buhk: "I've had three fantastic years with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and want to thank the entire AMG customer sports team for their help and assistance during this time. I'm now looking forward to moving on to Bentley and to new assignments with them. It's a great honour to drive for one of the most well established marques in international motor racing. I will do everything I can to achieve further success with Bentley this season. Also, it means something very special to me to be signed as a works driver and I'm very grateful to be given this opportunity."

Brian Gush, Bentley's Director of Motorsport Motors: "We tried out a number of drivers in Portimão and returned with a lot of data which formed the basis for our decision. Maximilian was very quick, very impressive."

Gush has set ambitious targets for 2015: "The new year will be very exciting for Bentley Motorsport. The Continental GT provides us with the ideal platform on which to continue our motor racing tradition. At any rate, we will contest more events this year than ever before in the chequered history of Bentley in motor racing."
