The Rheingau team Car Collection Motorsport entries two Audi R8 LMS in ADAC GT Master season 2016. For the car #33, team principal Peter Schmidt has committed the Dutchman Christiaan Frankenhout. He will fight for points together with an Audi Sport customer racing driver. For the second car, the team is still in negotiations with several drivers.

Denis Ferlemann (Team-Manager): "We are very pleased, that we could win Christiaan for our team. He is a very fast and experienced driver and together with his teammate from Audi Sport customer racing they will make a powerful team. It is our first full season in the series, while still the first with our new Audi R8 LMS, so we go with low expectations in the year. But we will make every effort to go to points constantly. Maybe the one or the other podium then jumps out of it."

Christiaan Frankenhout: "It's nice to be back again at the ADAC GT Masters. This championship I've always liked. I drove two races in the year 2010 with Audi and this races was very good. After that I drove for two years the car with the star. I could win 1 race in this time. In the end of summer I could drive the new Audi R8 LMS and I was very surprised from the car. The new car has been improved even further.

I knew Peter Schmidt and the team Car Collection Motorsport since many years and we met there by chance. Peter Schmidt told me his plans for the next year and I was directly enthusiastic. For a new team, with the new car and a new driver line up, it will be a strong competition. But we have together only one target, and that Is to fight in the front field. Now I can't wait for the first test with the new Audi R8 LMS.
