Championship leaders Ludwig/Asch take lead: Mercedes-Benz duo in front in second practice.

ADAC GT Masters championship leaders Luca Ludwig and Sebastian Asch (Team Zakspeed) intend to be up there again with the front-runners at the Nürburgring, as the Mercedes-Benz duo demonstrated by setting the fastest time in the second practice session at the Nürburgring. With a time of 1:28.811 minutes, Ludwig/Asch were 0.092 seconds up on the Audi R8 LMS ultra of Jordan Lee Pepper and Nicki Thiim (C Abt Racing), who repeated their good showing from first practice. As in FP1, 18 supercars from an assortment of all the different marques in the field were covered by only one second.

Dominik Baumann and Jens Klingmann brought the BMW Z4 GT3 (BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert) home in third place ahead of the Bentley Continental GT3 of Fabian Hamprecht/Clemens Schmid (Bentley Team HTP) and the Corvette shared by Sven Barth, last year's winner at the Nürburgring and the leader in the Gentlemen standings, Remo Lips (RWT Racing Team).

Stefan Wackerbauer and defending champion Kelvin van der Linde in the Audi R8 LMS ultra (C Abt Racing) finished sixth in front of fellow Audi drivers and the quickest pair from the morning session, Daniel Dobitsch/Edward Sandström (kfzteile24 MS Racing). Luca Stolz/Vincent Abril in the second Bentley Continental GT3 (Bentley Team HTP) produced the seventh fastest lap, followed by the BMW Z4 GT3 of Jakub Knoll/Lennart Marioneck (Senkyr Motorsport) and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of Nico Bastian/Stef Dusseldorp (ROWE Racing).
