Christer Jöns (#3 C.Abt Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "It´s nice to end the day with a best time on the leader board. I managed to catch the track at a moment when there was very little water on it. Shortly after, the rain came on much stronger, and the lap times were once again significantly lower. It´s a very positive indicator that the times set by Andreas (Weishaupt) in the rain were also very fast, even though he´s driving here for the very first time."
Diego Alessi (#69 Callaway Competition, Corvette Z06.R GT3): "Actually, that turned out to be a useless day, because the next two days are set to be dry and very warm. We got some driving in on a wet track, but that wasn´t very conclusive for the two races."
Tomas Enge (#25 Reiter Engineering, Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX): "In the first session, we had problems with the grip and we were three seconds adrift. We then changed a few things on the car, and it went better. Albert was as fast on new tyres as I was on used, which bodes well. But I´m worried that we will also be some way behind on a dry track."
Hari Proczyk (#42 HP Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3): "I personally wasn´t satisfied, though things went a lot better for Andreas (Simonsen). We didn´t do much driving in the wet because we knew that the next two days would be dry."
Dominic Jöst (#22 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3): "The car was not easy to drive here in the rain today, but I expect that it will be better on a dry track. We took no risks today and didn´t use a new set of rain tyres, even though it was raining."
Florian Strauss (#23 MRS GT-Racing, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3): "This was my first time here in the rain, and I found it quite interesting. I´m curious to see how the first few laps go in the dry."
Marc Basseng (#24 kfzteile24 MS RACING, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "At the Nürburgring we had the edge in the wet, which we obviously won´t have here. Because qualifying is being held on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, I´ll be driving my first ever laps in the dry here tomorrow on race day itself, which should be interesting."
Daniel Dobitsch (#100 kfzteile24 MS RACING, Audi R8 LMS ultra): "Things didn´t quite go optimally for us, as you can see from the timesheets. But we weren´t taking any risks today either."
