ADAC GT Masters·15.8.2015

Comments from qualifying: What the drivers had to say after qualifying at the Nürburgring.

Martin Ragginger (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), Pole Position, Race 2: "Qualifying went like clockwork for both us. We now need to go the distance and secure victory at the finish line. We're good, but we're perhaps not the quickest in the race. Still, provided we don't make any mistakes, it should perhaps be enough."

Klaus Bachler (#36 GW IT Racing Team Schütz Motorsport, Porsche 911 GT3 R), Pole Position, Race 1: "We've got the best grid position, which makes me very happy. Now, we'll have to ensure that we can translate that into good results. We started from pole at the Lausitzring as well but ended up fifth. This grid position is good, but it's only the quali."

Rahel Frey (#16 YACO Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), Grid position 6, Race 1: "I couldn't beat Philip's time, so I can only acknowledge his fine performance. I'm very pleased with our good result. The weather should prove interesting on Saturday and Sunday, it's going to be very changeable."

Philip Geipel (#16 YACO Racing, Audi R8 LMS ultra), Grid position 2, Race 2: "We worked hard during the summer break. This is a result achieved by the whole team. Rahel and I turned the brilliant preparatory work done by the team into a good finish. I have to say, I'm even a bit surprised by my lap time. Our qualifying result is great. The team needed a result like that and thoroughly deserve it. We now need to turn this quali success into a successful outcome in the race."

Jens Klingmann (#80 BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert, BMW Z4 GT3), Grid position 7, Race 2: "I'm satisfied with my performance. More was not possible. It comes down to hundredths of a second with the slender gaps between cars here."

Alexander Mattschull (#33 CarCollection Motorsport, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3: "This is my debut weekend in the ADAC GT Masters and I must first get used to the car and the tyres. We've not done any testing here, unlike many of our competitors, but we're already making good progress."

Fabian Hamprecht (#8 Bentley Team HTP, Bentley Continental GT3), Grid position 4, Race 1: "Our qualifying result is good, but I'm still not 100% satisfied. A bit more might have been possible. We didn't expect to be so quick here, because this circuit should not really be our cup of tea in theory."

Hari Proczyk (#42 HP Racing, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3), Grid position 16, Race 2: "I just didn't get it right in qualifying, and there's no hiding that. Our car is not yet perfect either. There's still some work to be done, because Bernd struggled a little as well."
