Czech outfit Senkyr Motorsport have announced their driver squad for their first season in the ADAC GT Masters. Jakub Knoll (24) from the Czech Republic will share driving duties in the BMW Z4 GT3 with former ADAC Sports Foundation protégé and ex-Corvette specialist Lennart Marioneck (27). Filip Sladecka, who impressed in the official pre-season tests at Oschersleben with solid lap times, stays on as test and reserve driver.
Lennart Marioneck, who hails from Bamberg in Bavaria and can already look back on a two-year stint in the ADAC GT Masters, is thrilled to have been recruited by Senkyr Motorsport for the 2015 campaign: "I'm really looking forward to this new and exciting challenge with Senkyr Motorsport and their BMW Z4 GT3. Both the car and the team are new to me, but this combination sounds promising. Together with Jakub and the team, I want to improve my level of performance, and who knows, maybe there will be some Top Ten finishes."
Jakub Knoll: "I'm impressed by the team and the Z4 GT3. I've still got a few things to learn about getting the best out of this car. But I'm sure I can quickly get established here and that I'll be learning a lot from my new team-mate."
Robert Senkyr, Team Principal: "It wasn't easy to find a second fast driver, but we have confidence in Lennart who has already acquired a lot of experience with GT3 cars over the last two years. We are delighted to have him and Jakub driving for us in our first season in the ADAC GT Masters, and we're hoping to acquit ourselves well in terms of performance and speed. Before we get down to the serious business of racing next week at Oschersleben, we are going to perform a function test in Brno next Tuesday, with both drivers alternating in the BMW Z4 GT3 for the first time."
