Strong performance by the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in second free practice at Hockenheim. Two gullwings came home in the top three in the final free practice session of the 2015 ADAC GT Masters season. Bernd Schneider and Hari Proczyk (HP Racing) took fastest time. Championship leaders Luca Ludwig and Sebastian Asch (Team Zakspeed) placed third with a deficit of 0.024 seconds. Luca Stolz and Tom Dillmann, who repeated the Bentley Continental GT3's (Bentley Team HTP) good performance from first practice, split the two Mercedes-Benz by finishing just 0.008 seconds behind Schneider. Clemens Schmid/Fabian Hamprecht (Bentley Team HTP) brought home the second Bentley in the field in fourth place ahead of Stefan Wackerbauer/Kelvin van der Linde (C.Abt Racing) who were the fastest Audi duo as they had been previously in FP1.
Aided by DTM star Bruno Spengler, aspiring champion Dominik Baumann in the BMW Z4 GT3 (BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert) achieved the sixth-fastest lap time, followed by Jordan Lee Pepper/Nicki Thiim in the Audi R8 LMS ultra (C.Abt Racing), Andreas Wirth/Daniel Keilwitz (Callaway Competition) at the wheel of the Corvette and newcomer Niklas Mackschin, who is lining up with Claudia Hürtgen in the BMW Z4 GT3 (BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert). Marc Gassner and Florian Strauss in the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 (MRS GT-Racing) completed the Top Ten.
