The race weekend in Sachsenring started under the best auspices thanks to the extraordinary Patrick Kujala´s fourth result in race 1 qualifying session. However, the weekend didn´t feel up to the aspirations. Breaking the ice in the absolute standings was the only solace. Florian Spengler and Emanuele Zonzini´s tenth recovery place in race 1 allowed them to obtain their first points in the driver standings and Bonaldi Motorsport in the constructor standings. Zonzini is better placed in the Junior Cup with his seventh position. Ambitions are very different anyway and in the days immediately after the Sachsenring race the team from Bergamo is undertaking a test session in Lausitzring in view of next ADAC GT Masters round.

Florian Spengler: "Every mistake is paid high price in this championship. As to me, I made one at last curve in my qualifying lap and I started my race in nineteenth position! Then, the race gave us the only solace of the weekend: obtaining the first points. But ever more so, I am bothered by my qualifying session."
