After a season in which good performances were shown but adequate results did not follow, Bonaldi Motorsport has its last chance to end the difficult ADAC GT Masters championship in an exciting way. Prestigious results that sometimes the yellow Lamborghini Huracán GT3 could reach during the season would be the right successful completion of the hard work done by the team and the basis for the next seasonal planning. Emanuele Zonzini, the driver from San Marino, together with Florian Spengler, the German driver, are competing on this technical German racetrack.
Situated in the region of Baden-Wurttemberg, north of Stuttgart, the circuit of Hockenheim was built in 1932 and hosted 35 editions of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Germany. Its original design, which was characterised by extreme speed, was considerably modified over the years. In 1964 the works for the section called "Motodrom", characterised by slow curves, and the finish line area started. During the following years, two chicanes were introduced to interrupt the long straights: the first one was dedicated to the Scottish Champion, Jim Clark, who died there in 1968. In 2002 the racetrack was totally redesigned: the high speed section was drastically reduced while new stands and various tight radius curves were introduced to allow Formula 1 cars to have more possibilities of overtaking. The racetrack is now 4,574 metres long compared to its 6,825 metres in 2001.
Marco Bielli, team manager: "In Hockenheim we want to end the ADAC GT Masters championship in the best way. This was an absolute quality championship which represented a very prestigious challenge for Bonaldi Motorsport.".
